Pumpino, 27 Mar 2024Massive bezels, a poor fingerprint sensor, an ordinary came... moreEvery year, same disscussions. So what's the conclusion?
Xiaomi always looking better because they have 2 or 3 version of the same phone through the year. They are constantly making new phones, because they have a different bussiness model then anyone else on the market. But who cares right?

And you.. phone elitists and geeks all around the globe knows they have to pump new models all the time and that they have software issues...
But who fricking cares right? Xiaomi has always look better in design and specs then Samsung or any western brand phone, because of their bussiness model. I know.. who fricking cares for Xiaomi different bussiness model because all you care is pricing and specs right? And those are ALWAYS better then anything from west. Who cares why. Nobody! Rightttt.

1989 nothinghappened, 27 Mar 2024Finally a worthwhile soc upgrade over a52s, too bad it took... moreIs it though?
That old Qualcomm Snapdragon (QSD 778) was an ex-flagship level of performance and efficiency and didn't skimp on the extras. At the time, I said Samsung made a mistake with that phone and I was right, they were quick to discontinue it. It was SO GOOD for its time and value. I mean Late-2021 versus Early-2024 and we are still talking about it.

The only thing similar was the QC 7g2+ that released in Late-2022 and that thing was equally potent and value. But we've hardly seen that on the market. Seems like both Qualcomm and OEMs don't want to cannibalize their premium markets. So they are arbitrarily holding the market back in pursuit of more profits.

Is it UFS 2.2 or 3.1 for 8/128gb

                              >After the Samsung Galaxy S and Z foldable series, the Galaxy A5x series is likely the most popular in the company's portfolio for good reason

You always have articles about the reports how the A1x and A0x are the most popular Samsung phones

                                I'm noticing a trend.

+ A50: A whole revamp of the A series from before, and a major success overall.
                                - A51: Disappointing. Barely an improvement over the A50.
+ A52: Brought back the IP rating, OIS, and the stereo speakers. Geeat-for-its-time 90Hz display and a decent enough Snapdragon chipset. Massive W overall.
                                - A53: Other than the 120Hz display and the 5G, it's not an improvement over the A52.
+ A54: Massive improvements to the camera, a good redesign, and a better chipset. While it's not the most groundbreaking, it's quite a lot better than the A53.
                                - A55: Not that much better than the A54. Slightly better battery life and some build quality improvements. But, as we know, glass is glass and glass breaks.

If one year's model is good, next year's is just ok.

If this track record is anything to go by, waiting for the A56 may prove worthy. That said, nothing is absolute, and there is no proof that Samsung won't mess up the A56 and maybe even the A57.

We will have to wait and see.

If you think about it calmly, this is the S20FE that was released four years ago. Is it worth buying at a high price now?

                                    "Front camera: 13 MP Sony IMX616, f/2.2, 1/2.74", 0.8µm, fixed focus; 2160p@30fps"

                                    32 MP*

                                    "Wide (main): 50 MP Sony IMX906, f/1.8, 1/1.56", PDAF, OIS; 2160p@30fps"

What's the source for the sensor being the IMX906? I can't even find an official website for the sensor.

Only bad on 1480 SoC is dosen't support AV1 decode.

In review they said S23 FE has better display, faster chipset, better camera experience (has 3x telephoto too), wireless charging, as well as other neat tidbits like Samsung DeX, reverse charging, better ingress protection, etc. The Galaxy S23 FE is objectively the better phone.

                                        S23 FE scored 4.0
                                        A55 scored 4.1
