Anton .el PAPI., 04 May 2024It is the same concept for a final result in both cases!! I... moreThe only similarity between the two is the fact that they both work towards freezing the motion. That's it. Let me give you an example - Increasing the shutter speed or increasing the ISO while keeping every other setting the same both raise the overall exposure in the scene, but that doesn't mean shutter speed and ISO are remotely similar in terms of concept or how it actually works.
"It cannot be denied that the concept of the N8 was far ahead of its time"
No, their "concept" was not ahead of its time nor original back then. Managing to put a xenon flash on a phone was a feat for sure, but the flash itself was something that had been commonly used on compact cameras for decades and Nokia wasn't being revolutionary at all in that regard. It's like Huawei's variable aperture - It's impressive that they managed to put it on a phone, but the mechanism itself wasn't particularly unique or groundbreaking.
"Now Huawei took that concept and improved it"
They are two completely different concepts, and Huawei's technology has neither been built on top of what Nokia did 10 years ago nor influenced by it. Dedicated cameras have been able to effectively freeze the motion of the subject with a flash before we were even born. Were they able to "undo" a blurry image though? No they weren't, and they won't be able to do that for the next 5 years or something given how limited dedicated cameras' processing capability is.

Anonymous, 04 May 2024it capture moving object without blur so its the same thing... moreBy blasting a strong light against the subject and completely altering the appearance of the scene entirely, while ignoring any existing lighting that was present in the frame.
Sure, "same thing".

It cannot be denied that the concept of the N8 was far ahead of its time, we are talking about a cell phone that is more than a decade old!! Now Huawei took that concept and improved it!! Google has been doing this too but more with videos than photos, Sony has also had this for a long time, but Huawei is going to popularize it now

Anonymous, 04 May 2024Maybe you should learn why real camera use flash photograph... moreYes, use flash if you want to end up with extremely bad looking photos. There's a reason why flash doesn't get triggered unless in extremely dark surroundings. Modern cameras don't need it.

One is honest to the subject, the other is relying entirely on dishonest opinions.

Anonymous, 04 May 2024it capture moving object without blur so its the same thing... moreFaster shutter speed, dimmer the image. Thats why N8 need Xenon flash. And it need to be closer to the subject.
Pura 70 Ultra did it WITHOUT THE NEED OF XENON FLASH OR ANY FLASH. Near or far the subject is, both are working well to make the image static. That is the magic it has done which got nothing to compare with other smartphone before. Get it?

Anonymous, 02 May 2024These shots are pure HDR puke. Have someone seen shadows on... moreI would say Huawei's HDR tonemapping is a tad more aggressive than competing phones from my casual, non-scientific observations, but they have a pretty typical "flagship smartphone camera look" - even exposures across the frame, details that are not severely over-processed and relatively neutral colours. I bet Samsung or Apple wouldn't perform any better in the same set of scenes, let alone Xiaomi or Vivo.

Anonymous, 03 May 2024its called xenon flash, the old sony ericsson k800i and nok... moreMaybe you should learn the difference between "Blasting a bright flash against a subject to forcefully introduce enough lights to the scene for the camera to capture" and "Using clever image processing to eliminate the motion blur in a long exposure shot that would've otherwise turned out to be unusable". There are many situations where the former simply wouldn't work due to the naturally disturbing nature of a xenon flash.

I think there should be a thorough investigation for it's inbuilt 5G despite the sanction from US and Huawei must break Legs, Bones & @$$ and everything whatnot to come successfully as a core winner with its technology ⚙⚙🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫
