I must be blind or something but I'm checking side by side with the newer iPhone and I don't see iPhone pics being any better. This looks so true to life, it almost makes you feel like you are in the place. I'm really impressed this time with the camera rendition, the color accuracy, nice highlights, no oversharpening or weird contrast. Really in love with this phone photos.

Sony gave us 20MP with tiny sensors which was bad and now that camera sensors are big enough, everything shoots in 12MP. I lost almost all hope that anyone else will do it so give me a camera binned to 20MP Sony! Preferably a 1" camera with a diaphragm but I'll take anything I'll get at this point.

The price mentioned in this article is not true for me. The 512 GB version of Pro Max Costs almost 500 euro more than the Experia Mark 6.

I never us... moreThe same reason as your comment and reasoning, some people are looking for fast charging as well thats why they included it in, others might change their phone in 2-3 years span of time, some might change it anually so if in your case is battery performance then be it cause other will read it anyway and look for it, so why even you bother with it gsmarena does it because its tech review and its a feature of the phone itself.

I got this phone for my birthday only problem is the Android 14, up to 3 major Android upgrades where my wife's Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra phone comes with Android 14, up to 7 major Android upgrades and Samsung phone is cheaper better camera, and battery life

Why does GSMArena even care about fast charging? I never use fast charging as want to preserve my battery's performance.

The 4 years of security updates is still too short for the price category. At least 5 years would be acceptable, if you wait for the price drop.

Unfortunately the EC72 variant doesn't support eSim, which is frustrating after purchasing a 2024 flagship. Otherwise the phone is incredible, I just don't understand why only one variant supports it, no reviews I read before buying mentioned this

One more thing this phone "should" be capable of that the 1-IV could do is with the gaming power management system. The system that enables you to bypass the battery when plugged in and gaming.....
On the IV you add the Google MAPS app as if it were a game and apply the battery bypass so that when on a long trip and using MAPS the phone would not overheat! Maybe Android Auto can also be run in this same manner. YMMV

Comming from the xperia 1 iv I got mine 2 days ago. It seems much better in nearly every area (look&feel, cameras -> gr8 new app -> AF is improved -> picture quality seems over all better, battery life is a big improvement over the iv, screen - brightness is a big step up, BT stability with my WF-1000XM4 is much better, thermal management ist better),...
The only thing I'm missing is the notification LED. Funny how you get used to such a small function.
There are a lot of things I still have to test out e.g. the soundquality of the headphone jack, but first impression is very good.

Many galaxy phones are even worse, and they still had no effect on me and the preponderance of users that own them. I do wonder how prevalent this sensitivity is...

Sony make the best in class TVs and the best on the market Reference Grading OLED/LED Monitors. They know how make good screen. I saw screen in 1VI and it is very good hardware.

There is a pwm test that measures only 240hz pwm. This is incredibly low and prone to cause discomfort to pwm sensitive folks.
GSM Arena should evaluate and report if this finding is true.
