Find N3 was reviewed before it got rebranded as OnePlus Open for international market.
They needed time to oppo make software updates to improve cam since results are never on pair with hardware, much worse than other type1.0

GSMA should definitely put on a giant disclaimer on top so people know this is sample unit and not the final product. All they have done so far is some tiny texts blended into the article.
This should not be a full review since the phone is just annonced and not released yet, i read through it and there are lots of things that they said will be different in the retail unit, yet there's no line indicating that in the intro or verdict. Obviously there are a lot to iron out in terms of software and brands will do it in the form of firmware update, GSMA should be more transparent about that, as people will look at articles like this and assume that the final product will have the same problems.

The reviewers can express their own opinion, but I can speak for myself that for once I prefer the fingerprint sensor on the side and it works well for me also when I unlock the phone when holding it in my left hand or when it lays on the table. So to say that people that use their phones this way would not like such placement is an overstatement. To be so sure that people wouldn't like the side sensor, I would have to assume that they are left-handed and they often would like to unlock their phone with their left hand WHILE it lays flat on the table, which statistically is not the most common, but indeed happens. Although I would argue that left-handed people could easily switch to their right hand just for that, given that I managed to learn how to operate chopsticks with both hands.

The change from the 4K screen resolution and the 21:9 aspect ratio is so, so disappointing. I wanted to buy this to use in place of my Sony Xperia 1 II, and to replace my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, but that will not happen now.

Too bad about the new aspect ratio. Would've been great if it weren't so wide.

Past Xperia 1 were conservative when compared to this one.
I guess the comments section will be fire in a few hours...
I'll give it a try, these changes are for the better IMO. Next step is to bring Exmor T on every sensors

Ah sony, your charm is truly undeniable. It's not the greatest in any way but that's because they don't even try. I can't wait to get this phone when the price drops😍

With minimum effort, man can remove 99% of the Chinese language, and with rooting probably all.
Indeed, the review was not only taking like an "eternity", but it was extremely rushed. The phone has so much more to offer... and I know cause I'm enjoying it very much!

Dead on arrival thanks to the FHD+ screen. Who in their right mind though an FHD+ screen on such a premium top of the line flagship was a good idea????
If this thing had a QHD+ display at the VERY LEAST, it would've been perfect. Hardest ball Sony has ever dropped. Good riddance, no Sony for me till they fix this.

Notification LED gone again if I didn't miss anything? Sad, but not a total dealbreaker.

With 60hz mode this phone battery life Will be outstanding, like best android battery life. So the downgradento FHD actually give more useful improvement rather than the gimmick 4K

Too bad for the 12MP telephoto sensor only, a 32 or 50MP model could have gone up to x14.2

So, no better than the 1V? Sony will be done soon, like LG.

Everything about this phone seems to be good. I don't mind the thick top and bottom bezels (if not saying that I actually found myself liking them), SD card and 3.5mm jack still remaining are to be quite impressive, it's all good, but probably except its price at launched (but it might go down quickly, so who cares?). The battery life seems to be exceptionally impressive though, and maybe the change from 4K to FHD+ may not be that much of a downgrade as it seems to make the phone run for quite a lot longer.
