Anonymous, 20 May 2024I don't care about bezels and neither should you.It looks cheap, but it's not exactly cheap. I think most people can agree the bezels look cheap and shoddy. It's ok if you don't, you're not the majority.

RaviSS, 20 May 2024Glad to hear that. Going by the reviews and the limited tim... moreIt's better than the 6a. My 6a would always camp on 700MHz due to the 2600MHz signal being too low. However, the 8 camps on 2600MHz due to the signal being stronger.

Vic4BBM, 19 May 2024I am currently using Pixel 6a. When I was researching abou... moreI had 6a and recently upgraded to an 8 Pro. I have to respectfully disagree with your comments on the 6a. My 6a overheated all the time (not playing games). The fingerprint sensor was very erratic. The battery life was abysmal. The 8 Pro has improved in all these areas. As well as an outstanding camera setup. If you can find the 8 Pro at a good price it might be worth the upgrade. If the camera isn't as important the 8 might be worth it but I don't have hands on experience with that one.

really wanted to buy this but Google just refuses to drop the throttling powerhouse tensor/exynos! Maybe the next gen pixels won't throttle and will have better thermal performance. 🤞

Anonymous, 19 May 2024Gsmarena, it would have been interesting to see whether the... moreGoing by the DXOMark review, the quality at 2x zoom is very similar to 7a (as it is just a crop from the center of the sensor). However at higher zoom levels, 8a retains quality much better than 7a, although not as well as 8.

Anonymous, 20 May 2024I don't care about bezels and neither should you.You should because it means that it's a cheap panel. Cheap panels have worse viewing experiences and more breakable.

How is the signal reception quality of Pixel 8 as compared to Pixel 6a? My pixel 6a generally has slightly worse signal stength as compared to Pixel 4a and LG V30 (it shows 2-3 bars when the latter phones show 3-4 bars).

Vic4BBM, 19 May 2024I am currently using Pixel 6a.
When I was researching abou... moreI did own a 7a, and there were articles about it being less hot than 6a and I can say 7a was complete garbage in that regard. I mostly use mobile data, and didn't have any issues with Snapdragon SoC (even 8g1 which was manufactured with Samsung technology) or Kirin SoCs while my pixel was just warm anytime I turned on mobile data, and using that data were always resulting in heating. The phone couldn't handle games like CoD mobile even at lowest graphics at intense moments in the game. And I wasn't that into pixel exclusive features, and some of them were locked for my region (I knew from the start, but doesn't change the fact that they only work inside of US)
*The only thing I liked about it was that when I was using WiFi, and not playing games, it would last a day or more(10-11h screen time), I didn't get similar results even with iPhone 13pm.
