It's barely over 10% of the smartphone market.
And Apple is outselling everyone by a wide margin, when their cheapest iPad is close to what most expensive Andoid tablets cost.

It's a niche market that Apple controls. You can blame the competition for everything the iPad isn't and even for the price.
Whining about what the iPad should've been, when they are also selling Macs, is the definition of a moot point. iPads are social media consuming tools for 99% of users.
Pro doesn't mean professional in the gadget world, it simply means expensive.

TBH the iPad pro lineup is one of the most overpriced e-waste mass manufactured items in modern day history since the basic iPad is more than enough to act as a point-of-sale item, a media screen, a babysitter for dumb parents and what not at a much lower asking price.
The basic fact that that the iPad pro cannot run full fledged macOS programs makes this absolutely Worthless for the sticker price, for professional use. For designer pad use, a wacom or xp-pen screen at the same price blows this out of the water. And why would anyone sane spend massive more $$$ on the keypad/stylus when a Mac Air can be bought at the same combined pricepoints, something which is not crippled by the iPadOS limitations?
"Screen quality" or geekbench scores are a joke when the device's functionality itself has been purposefully gutted by apple just for the sake of maximizing profits, environment be damned. I think the recent sales numbers are showing that people are wisening up to the apple shenanigans...lets see how long they will push force the gimped iPadOS on these things before they lose investor confidence.

The last of the cons sums it up, iPadOS underutilises the M4 chip - no matter how impressive the tech is in this new iPad Pro, it's wasted away by the overly simplified and limiting OS it runs on.
Dual-layer OLED display and M4 chips are going to make the next round of the Macbook Pro worth it, though.

As you mention about laptop, Mac or any others windows laptop can do more things than iPad but need to carry whole bag for few things to do work. With iPad just pencil and cable brick charger is enough

I just bought the Galaxy Tab S9 FE 10.9" 5G tablet from T-Mobile $550 and it does everything I need it to do. I'm completely satisfied with the purchase.

IMO the photo colours are much better/more realistic than so many phones - the sky and foliage looks great colour wise. So many phones have horrible luminous green plants.

Anonymous, 26 May 2024First time anyone complains a phone or tablet is *too* powerful !It's about being powerhungry, yet unable to use the full power of the chip. Although with Apples throttling and thermal issues in passively cooled devices it's up in the air how much of the chips potential this thing uses anyways.
