Immediately went to the battery and it's as I expected. With greater power comes faster battery drain. The F6 should be better here.

Can't wait for the F6 review! Even though the F6 is in my 3rd choice, at least it's not as bad as my previous assumptions. I'm looking for a more well rounded offering (ala Tecno Camon 30 Pro and Xiaomi 13T being my 1st and 2nd choice atm), and I wouldn't even mind going for the A55.

Another day, another Xiaomi with unoptimised battery life.

What makes it worse is that this chip is very power efficient.

Cherry on top is base S23 with a much smaller battery, having better battery life.

Xiaomi really doesn't care at all nowdays, they need to be replaced I guess.

Xiaomi's battery optimization nowadays is POOOR

        Hyper os is really HYPER

          Its ugly

I think this has improved on the major weakness of the Poco F5 pro which was the main camera. At least know there is a good main camera. At this price when you get a powered chip and 2k screen I think it's acceptable to just have a good main camera. The battery life is average but with the high resolution screen, snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and average battery size by recent standards, that is to be expected. 120w charging compensates somewhat for this though. A very solid phone

Weak battery life, maybe because the inefficient display and software. But this $500 offers more display resolution than Sony flagship

Do clients in China believe all the fa... moreI don't know what you mean by 'mainly Huawei' but the type of consumers who are active on weibo forums and on review comments seem to be often more knowledgeable than those on sites like this. Some of the Chinese reviewers are much more knowledgeable about phones than the English language reviewers and they point out things that are never pointed out on sites like this. There is also more just way more details available on Chinese websites about the phones and their components so it is easier to get access to detailed info. Therefore, plenty of commenters are not fooled at all by exaggerated claims by manufacturers. You often also see reviews from purchasers complaining on phones not living up to manufacturer claims. However, the average consumer, the same as in any country doesn't spend a lot of time researching phones so it would be completely different for the average consumer. A lot of average consumers are unlikely to be even aware of some of the manufacturers claims in the first place I think. Most claims though are based on their own lab tests so maybe certain things that are claimed can be achieved in lab tests with manipulated settings

I expected this phone to score higher in the active usage battery score that the Poco X6 Pro.
                  That's disappointing.

Phone does not want you guys to run Wildlife because phone is gonna shut it down like many other xiaomi caused by excessive heat.

The Chinese manufacturers are able to achieve higher brightness on on 1.5k screens than on 2k ones. The brightness is almost exactly the same as last year's Xiaomi 13 ultra in both manual and auto brightness modes so it's not bad for a 2k screen. The auto brightness is also almost on par with the Xiaomi 14 ultra. The Xiaomi 14 ultra has increased the manual brightness this year though. Overall, I don't think the brightness is bad considering it's on par with last year's top flagship model

ashrobb, 23 May 2024do regular poco f6!They've probably been told to release this one first and then the regular one later by Xiaomi. These things are often dictated by the companies

Like all of Xiaomi's recent models, battery life is poor. I think it's the lack of optimisation, as it's across both Qualcomm and MediaTek models.

An older version of Gorilla Glass and inferior IP protection compared to the F6? That's just weird. It's likely a consequence of the expensive Qualcomm chip.

The colours in the first photo of the Asian looking building are terrible. Like Motorola, Xiaomi appears to have trouble optimising OmniVision sensors. Maybe it should stick to Sony. From my experience, Xiaomi doesn't tend to refine its phones with updates; it just adds a new security patch every 3-4 months, so what you get now is as good as it'll get.

Eric20, 23 May 2024Not impressed by the main camera sensor. 😒It seems like more of a small refinement over the F5 Pro so it's not exactly impressive by any means, but the drastic reduction in post processing i.e. sharpening/NR makes it a much better camera than the F5 Pro, especially in portrait mode. Details like skin texture and hair are rendered way more authentically in F6 Pro's portrait mode while the F5 Pro smears much of the detail with NR even in good lighting and adds sharpening to try to compensate.

Not impressed by the main camera sensor. 😒

                                    No good battery life
                                    No SD card
                                    No audio jack
                                    Of course No buy

Very bad move by Poco to lower the battery and up the resolution compared to F5 pro.
No wonder battery life dropped that much.

Also i expected way more in terms of brightness. How the hell does F6 pro lose to Poco X6??

Last but not least, not a fan of the back design and lets not forget that they dropped the wireless charging Poco F5 pro had.

The phone overall isnt bad for the current early bird pricing.

The regular F6 is a far better deal.
