Anyone knows if Android 15 will bring screen extended to an external monitor? It seems currently can only do mirroring to an external monitor.

The lack of storage expansion is the other.

I have a 13.5in Surface Book 2 and the screen is amazing for productivity, creative design work, web browsing, and media consumption. lots of games in my Steam library also take advantage of 3:2 as well.

Have been a Xiaomi User and Fan for almost a decade and have bought 10 Mi devices in my family.

However, Xiaomi's software support is exceedingly poor. Mi Pad 5 has not been updated to Android 14. This shoddy software support is something you can justify on lower priced Redmi devices, but on "premium" tablets in the present era is unacceptable.

Potential buyers be warned. Apple, Samsung and even, Google are much better in this regard and the slight premium over the increasingly expensive Xiaomi devices is well justified and it gives you years more of usage on your premium devices.

SigmaR, 10 Jun 2024And an amoled display. I wouldn't have any doubt, the ... moreAmoled it is not essencial - at least for me - if IPS is good. This IPS is quite good and with 700-900 nits it beats the S9+ in brightness.
From notebookcheck test since GSM arena did not review S9+
                Xiaomi:
                Brightness middle
                867 nits
                Brightness
                810 nits
                Brightness Distribution
                87%
For Samsung S9+ the numbers are 574 nits, 551 nits, 89%

Als... moreIts a mix of video and other usecases. 16:10 doesnt mean 'primary goal video', its just a ratio good for a lot of stuff. Im giving some info to the guy who said to 'just get a large phone'. 3:2 is even more area than 16:10. i say 16:10 cus thats what android tablets of 7 to 9 usually come in. He and the guy who wanted the 8 inch can decide for himself.

Anonymous, 07 Jun 20248"? You might as well just get a big phone for that...Other than a foldable nothing comes to 8 inch 16:10 screen area. Phones are 19.5:9 to 21:9, a 7 inch phone is way smaller area than the 8 inch tablet. And foldables are much smaller for video area.

It has HyperOS- no thanks. Forget about customization, widgets cannot be resized and they stay small on screen.
