Xiaomi Redmi 13 review

Ever since 2020, manufacturers keep downgrading their midrange phones. Redmi 10 with sd680 and ufs storage is much better than this phone.

    Just terrible.

When I see Xiaomi reviews these days

I just run to the battery section to confirm my bias to see if the battery life is still the same mediocre level since hyper os.

And so far the trend continues.. it doesn't matter if it's mediatek low end high or midrange it doesn't matter what Snapdragon is used or how big the battery is

      Same mediocre results

annoying inflation.my Poco X3 Pro is better in everything else except smaller camera sensor for the same price in 2021. Little value in the larger sensor, better to put OIS.

xiaomi is testing just how much of a bad phone they can sell

          poco m6 pro smokes this

Yeah it's bad, but Xiaomi doesn't just make 1 phone a year there are other phones at this price that are better like the Redmi 13C 5G or last year's Redmi 12 5G..

Brands like Sony, Google, Apple or Samsung follow the PD protocol, just buy a PD charger and it works as intended.

Chinese brands use proprietary charging techs, I have seen how much crap the Honor Magic 6 Pro topic has in my country, because Honor doesn't provide a charger in box and doesn't even sell it.

18 watts, that is what you will get on it from any PD charger at most, you need a Honor or certain Huawei model chargers to get the advertised charging speeds.

And while I think that chargers should be in box no matter the brand, chinese brands are a bigger problem when they don't give that charger in box, compared to the other brands I mentioned.

                $200 stuttering eMMC trash.
Xiaomi literally is begging for Transsion to kill them off.

So Xiaomi is playing the no brick in box game too.

Too expansive, aside from the main camera this thing is beyond mediocre, even Samsung and Motorola have better deals at this price, unless you are the type of person thinking more megapixels makes a camera better.

Max 110 Euro, the current price is too much.

I don't understand how so many budget and even midrange phone have vitrual proximity sensor, while a 80 euro cheapo Motorola G04 has a physical one.

Anyhow, so Redmi 13 is another addition to the beyond confusing Redmi family (name wise), and the only thing this has is a "good camera"

For that money Moto G54 with 12GB or RAM and 256gb of storage makes more sense, and for those who care about updates the A15 5G with 8GB of RAM is there.

Redmi 13 is not "bad", but this thing shouldn't be beyond 100 euro with these specs...
