Oppo store uk recently had this on offer for 25% off, so at £375 seemed like a good deal phone arriving tomorrow so only time will tell but reality is I had a S23 Ultra that I hated the interface ( Huawei are so much better).. So lets see how this fairs, Never buying samsung again. wish Huawei would sit down with the US and sort out their beef.

Dimensity 7300 is shaping as a great processor. Very efficient and quite powerful for the midrange segment... Which makes it a terrible option for this phone which is priced too high.
Would be interesting to see it in a Redmi phone. Let's see if even with this they do mediocre battery life.

So pathetic how oppo company provide 2 year software update to reno 12 series ... So so Disappointment ....

Company Samsung provide 4 year software update to even A15 which is low budget phone

Superb battery life. Xiaomi, samsung, google, learn from oppo and oneplus

I like the look the bells and whistles but ...
I'd just stick to samsung midrange, which has longer update support. I like Reno gorgeous look, but no charger for a not so popular phone, well that sucks. Maybe they should stick selling in china where they're probably like a giant company and could walk away with the high price. That rating, GSMarena, is quit bias but I'll take heeds and search somewhere else.

I have given up on a new phone at this point.
Its either upwards of £/$ 900/1000 for what they are now calling a flagship phone with the real flagships being "Ultra" models costing more again.
Then we have these low spec phones pretending to be midrange and claiming its fine because the "AI" (no it isn't) makes up for it.
I'm keeping my Oppo Find X5 until its no longer serviceable and then getting a very basic cheap phone for calls and messages.
Then buying a half decent compact camera.

Totally agree. Plus what's really making this a camera phone is the fact that it features a Micro SD card slot.
Plus compared to the Honor 200 Pro in my opinion, the colors and internal processing look way more realistic and less artificial to the extend of appearing awkward.

jiyen235, 30 Jun 2024What are they doing with the Reno lineup? The Reno10 looked... moreReno has died many years ago. The first few models were good, but then they became just as bland as any other affordable phone.

This is not a good phone. Nothing that stands out at all. Do you guys remember the Oppo N line? The first few Reno phones? Back when Oppo was creative and cool. This phone looks terrible, it looks like a cheap, generic WELCOME phone and that "AI Camera System" line on the camera Island makes it even worse. I'm not surprised Oppo is struggling, when your phones are this boring and forgettable, why should anybody care about them? As much as I dislike the design on modern Honor phones, atleast those try to look different. This is just bland beyond belief

The Reno10 looked... moreMost of these Chinese OEMs don’t really have a vision on what their brand and lineup should represent. As such every generation can focus on completely different things, no consistencies. The only “consistent” thing with Oppo is shiny plastic back so their phones can attract unknowing customers at retailers.

8MP ultra wide Camera Quality is not good. Oppo is still in the era of 2019-2020!
Samsung Galaxy comes with 12MP which gives a better quality of photos and videos.
iPhone comes with 12MP wide angle lens 4-5yrs back. Whereas Oppo in Mid-2024, Oppo High End Reno10-11,12 series comes with 8MP. If Oppo can give 12MP wide angle or 16MP wide angle. No others company can challenge with oppo..

Price is bad but I'm loving the efficiency on this chipset

I'd want to see this with paired with a 6000mah battery

Once again, a very bad review from gsmarena.
1- it's being sold in europe for 549€
2- Xiaomi 13T Pro is around 899€-749€ , being 749€ the lowest price which is still a pretty significant difference.
3- if you compare this to Xiaomi 13T and Samsung A55 or S23 FE , as it should , you get much better results with Reno 12 Pro, better battery, longer battery , better display , and camera, also, it feels premium just like the A55, but not cheap plastic as Xiaomi 13T .
4- this is not a gaming phone, like you just said , its a SOCIAL MEDIA phone, 7300-E was designed to be energy efficiency , you get a really good performance for how much battery you can get without being worried or carrying a powerbank.

5-I agreed with you when you talk about honor devices compared to this one, but Honor have a big problem with updating their devices as you should know, and in Europe, they're still building themselves.

Im a huge fan of your platform, being following you for years , but please do your job better, i tried this phone for a week , and i have a Magic 5 Pro , and for the actual price ( 549€ ) the build is good, design is good, cameras are very competent specially at night , and even if oppo climb the price to 100€ more, its still worth it.

What are they doing with the Reno lineup? The Reno10 looked absolutely gorgeous and could've been mistaken for a flagship. The Reno 11 series was a downgrade in terms of camera hardware and the Reno 12 just continues that tradition. What happened? For the price the Oneplus 12R just wipes the floor with this. This is just a sad phone, this is like the Reno 10 just with a different look. Buy a second hand flagship and replace the battery and you'll be much happier, if you don't want that then the Oneplus 12R is better as well. Just ew
