This phone is whatever and earlier I dismissed it as a silly gimmick, but I'll say this: at least Nothing is trying something. The glyph lights on the 2/a, these scew on pieces - gimmicks, ok, but they are trying something besides 6.7 inch glass brick #12,322
Kind of like unihertz - love them, hate them, at least they are bringing different form factors back to the market. more choices, more competition.

The Nothing CFM Phone 1 is not worth it. It has no United States cellular network compatibility. I couldn't pay for public transit, food, or other things (I currently use with Gallaxy S24U to pay with) because the CMF Phone 1 has no NFC. I like setting my Galaxy S24U phone on a charging pad and the CMF Phone 1 has no wireless charging compatibility. The CMF Phone 1 only has a single Mono 1.0 speaker setup built-in? What a joke because The Galaxy S24U has a 2 channel stereo audio setup with one on the bottom and one on the top. Galaxy S24U come with 7 years of support and the CMF Phone 1 has only 3 years of support. The CMF Phone 1 needs much longer support. Galaxy S24U is a better smartphone than the CMF Phone 1 will ever be.

Other than that its prettry much... moreAlso no NFC or OIS a good case can help make up for poor Ingress Protection but no NFC or OIS is a real gut punch on a decent low-mid device, I would probably just go Nothing Phone 1a instead but generally prefer a Motorola or Nokia/HMD Mid-Ranger to Mid-High Devices anything over 600 is too much for me these days

Only if you want clean UI. Other than that its prettry much mediocre device. No dual speaker, not so good camera, design is awful since it's hard to grip, no 3.5mm port in this price range where all other brands do give the port.
Poco x6, Narzo 70pro, Realme P1 are much better devices albeit with mediocre UI.

I do not understand what is special about this, hype success, but really, again same as any other 6.7inch tablet with hole and this one is missing NFC and QI.
Ok it is different in that it is worse than other offerings.
I still remember ie. MI9t pro that did not need to have hole in display 4 years ago.

My pixel 6 is rooted (BL is also unlocked) and passes basic and device integrity. Not only can I use nfc, I can also use Google's RCS. I don't think you're hiding root well if you can't get wallet working.
