NeonHD, 10 Jul 2024Hello, adult here. I never use NFC mainly because I can... moreIt's very possible to bypass play integrity and use nfc to pay. My pixel 6 is rooted (BL is also unlocked) and passes basic and device integrity. Not only can I use nfc, I can also use Google's RCS. I don't think you're hiding root well if you can't get wallet working.

They didn't include 3.5mm jack so you will still have to buy their e-waste wireless buds.

Of course, if you want to talk strictly in terms in specs and price and how it competes with other phones, it is objectively "inferior". But I really don't think the main reason for this phone's existence is to be competitive.
Competitiveness is only one way of viewing the worth of a product. I view it as a unique addition to the market. Like I said many many times, in the end it is all subjective. Maybe let that sink in for a second, yeah?
The short software support is kinda disappointing though, I will admit that.

I do agree that they could've included NFC. I also wish they could've included a headphone jack, but alas.

A stripped down product, compared to similarly priced competitors, is an inferior product. There's nothing really useful about this phone that warrants it's existence apart from further segmentation and flooding the market with another product that won't pass the test of time.

Besides, we don't even know the exact details of the battery yet. It's best to wait for a teardown video from someone like PBK. Then we'll know for certain how easy or hard it is to remove.

Hello Moto, 09 Jul 2024Why even have a removable back without a removable battery?... moreThe battery is still technically speaking removable, no?
I will answer my own question: it should still be removable. Just peel off the protective layers, disconnect the flex cable from the battery, and done. It's not that hard. Granted CMF could've made it more easy, but it's honestly not that hard. As long as it's not like how the first Moto G's were designed.
