Can anyone who own this phone check whether 4k 30fps recording is now stable? Old reviews, even GSMA with :
"Perhaps the biggest misstep is the lack of EIS when recording 2160p videos, even at 30fps. Good thing there's an Ultra Steady mode that mimics the action camera stabilization, but records in 1080p at 60fps."

mention that there's no stabilisation, but recent reviews can shoot 4k60 with stabilisation. It's probably a fix from an update.

Though this is all my personal experience. It might be different for other people.

Also all the sensors are smaller on the X70 Pro, so again, size constraints lead to a change in camera quality. Besides, it's an older phone. I don't recommend buying a second hand/older phone unless it's a year old phone.

Bloatware was minimal - couple of Oneplus apps (community/store and the like) about 3 games .. Unfortunately I was deleting after backing up my mothers Samsung - so quite a few bloatware from there made it over to this one. There were a couple of apps that I could only disable - no clue what they were - just decided what I don't know I don't need! :D

The interface is very spiffy.. but all new phones tend to be. Will play around a little more on it tmw... lot of things to migrate. For the moment am struggling getting Google Photos to delete the pics in em! (nothing happens and yet keeps saying 98% storage consumed!). Will go over to the brand store tmw to help optimise the setup .

I am not expecting everything to be perfect - but my use case seems satisfied for the moment.

You seriously need some new reviewers you just can't be taken seriously anymore when you come out with comments like it tips the scale at nearly 200 grams which is a bit hefty for a phone with not that many cameras. It has a whopping 5,500 battery and 6.74 inch screen that's actually quite impressive. The Pixel 8a only weighs 10 grams less and that's a 6.1 inch screen with only a 4500 mah battery and a plastic back and the same amount of cameras dear me gsm arena 🤨

Doesn't have legitimate Google services. There are limitations with the apps.

As far as planned obsolescence is concerned, every brand does that through software updates by killing batteries, under clocking chipsets to slow down the phone, green line issues on Amoleds, network problem etc.
So do not update your phone at all if you want to use it for longer. Keep Android system webview and other apps on Play Store up to date. That's more more than enough to keep your phone secure.
