Glass ain't a good conductor either but at the end of the day the Nord 4 performs worse with the same thermals and most likely feels far hotter to the touch. What's your point?

          Yeah of course aluminium is used for heat sinks. But heat sinks are made to dissipate heat to themselves so that the cpu itself doesn't suffer. But the body itself is aluminium on the Nord 4, you're getting heat dissipiated straight to you which for sure ain't gonna be comfortable.

          There's a reason why phones have a separate heat sink/vapor chamber, it's to let that soak the heat and then transfer over to the frame/body. In that way energy/heat will be lost and with good implementations the heat will be transferred evenly. Then take a look at the Nord 4, you touch the SoC area and your fingers'll burn. I've tried metal phones and I'll take plastic everyday unless it's a 100 dollar metal phone with a dual core SoC that barely heats up.

              And aluminium dissipates heat way better than plastic. Have you never seen a pc heatsink? Or any heatsink?

Certainly the Nord has better quality materials on its back but that isn't necessarily what build quality means. It means rigidity of the product and how good it feels as well. I use some metal IEMs and these have changed their shape quite a bit due to my clumsy nature. I do think these feel nicer to the touch but that's it.

                  Metal is NOT superior to plastic or even glass in terms of thermal stability. The stress tests on this site further prove that. Even if the phone was more lenient towards thermal controls, it'd still be a worse experience. I think metal dissipates heat worse than glass or something cus I remember handling an HTC One M8 and boy I felt like my hand was gonna melt. The LG G3 felt super hot as well but never did it feel as hot as the HTC.

                  Your argument for the glass can be used for the back as well. "Most people just use covers so it's better to have a better front glass". Besides, glass protector or not, the front glass still suffers some damage, best to have it with better protection already. Wear a metal armor or a thick sweater, then punch yourself, you'll understand what I mean.

                  Idk who is so an*l about software support in the EU but where I live what matters most is that apps run properly (which has been the case for nearly a decade now for all phones), the screen is running (even if it's cracked) and the battery is fine. Software support is the least of all concerns. If people can run cracked phones, they truly don't care about software support. What do you even care anyways, if you're such a tech enthusiast why don't you just get a Google Pixel? It's just a 1 year OS update difference, which'll take 2 years to implement.

                    In brightness the realme gt6t has 1600 hbm and oneplus nord 4 has 1200 hbm and even in peak brightness realme is far much better even in the outdoor visibility and the display is flagship in realme on the other hand in oneplus it's fluid AMOLED which can be seen in other lower phones than Nord 4 with the extra brightness feature on even in the manual mode or and outdoor visibility there is no match with nord 4 the colors the saturation the panel all are flagship on the other hand it has a protection of gorilla glass victor 2 instead of dragon trail in nord it has just slightly bigger display and not for has a metal frame if we choose metal frame or better display then any day anywhere the better display will be valuable to anyone multimedia to everything displace one of the most important factor most of the people use phone case which covers everything but not the display I have use both phones believe me real me as a better display and better selfie camera matters if you talk about the software update not 4 gets one more year for the OS and the 6 years of security is a marketing gimmick after 4 years they will not provide regular updates it will be quarterly or there are more chances that it will be once in a 6 month after 4 years the update cycle will get worsed so GT has the four year of update policy and three major OS that's also good while you are getting a better display and a better protection in a better selfie camera rather than a metal frame and average selfie camera and 4 years of os and if you talk about software the oxygen OS and the realme OS has exactly been same now real me as done some amazing work with this year GT series it's so good it's so fluid it's a great software with no ads no bugs... Realme is better anyday

                    (2) Better storage results even both has ufs 4.0 realme shows 1.5x better than OnePlus
                    (3) Better selfie camera


                    It's just on you to go with metal frame that no one's gonna see nor you neither other or you can go with a great display that will be eye catching and better selfie

                    After 4 years no one cares about software updates 90 % people don't use phone after 4 years even if you use you are not getting something great performance as they both have same processor it will be a slight difference

                        Nord 4 has 1200 hbm and gt has 1600hbm no need to mention peak i tried both together to see who has better brightness and colours realme is far better than OnePlus, and protection is ggv2 it's always better than dragon tail no comparison
                        This time realme has done some great work the display is for sure flagship it's not just about getting ltpo that nord don't have but the panel is great and nord is using the same fluid amoled used ij even lower device than this nothing special display is one of the important factor with processor nord display doesn't look good in it's price and even both have ufs 4.0 gt has almost 1.5x better storage speed and in this series they have done great work in software no bugs no ads nothing colour os and oxygen now feels same and one more thing a better selfie camera it matters and a slightly bigger display flat vs curved is totally subjective and now if we talk about Nord it's getting 4 years of os and 6 of security it's good one more than gt but it doesn't change things 4 years is more than enough and nord is not going to get timely update for sure they will give it quarterly or even 6 months after 4 years nord updates will not be at time this is marketing gimmick and and on metal frame it's on you you need a better display aur better frame I will choose Display anyday... Metal or plastic use good case.. U will not even see the frame after covering the case Bit display ph multimedia

                          Oneplus Nord 4 back is made of metal compared to plastic Realme. Metal is obviously superior to plastic in terms of build quality.

                          Also what do you mean no one is using these phones for more than 2 years?
                          Plenty of people are using older(3+year old) phones from Poco, Oneplus, Samsung etc

                          So yeah, software support is way more important for most people than gorilla glass, since most people are using a screen protector/tempered glass anyways...

                            But I think the slight price difference in Asia is negligible and getting a Victus 2 and a better selfie cam would be more important to most people than software support (no one's using these for more than 2 years). The Build quality is subjective, the display of the nord is brighter in auto mode and the realme is brighter in manual mode. The distinction is important because not every phone can hold (or even reach) the max brightness reliably on a regular basis so the manual sliders come in clutch a lot, even on my s22 ultra.

                              Does realme allows easier bootloader unlocking? i often use stock android with xiaomi devices. This phone looks good (so does nord 4), but wanted to know about the scene of custom ROM development.

                                +better base version 12/256 vs 8/256 and cheaper at least in Europe(520 VS 550 on Realme)
                                +flat and brighter display

                                It also offers similar performance, battery life, fast charging, Ir blaster like Realme.

                                Realme has

                                +an ltpo display with Victus
                                +slighty faster charging and maybe better selfie as you say

                                I dont see how exactly Realme outshadows the Nord 4 spec wise.
                                The 400E discount Gsmarena mentions is the only thing worth mentioning.
