Even with cheaper SoCs like 7g3 for example, device like Flip6 would still have price similar to S+.
You need too many cost cuts to bring it down to $500-700.
Some brands are not willing to do it.

And it's a small foldable phone what do you expect? Small frame and a hinge so there is no space for proper cooling.

I seriously though that Tensor in my Pixel was hottest and worst chip, but after using few times phone with s8gen3 I can say that... avoid it... just skip it as its not worth price they put on it. Even snapdragon 7 series is better in most of time.

Tbh I still don't understand why companies need to put the fastest chip on their flip phones if we can't expect cameras and performance to be on par with their regular phones at the same price.
Just put a Snapdragon 7 series or Dimensity 8 series chipset on it, put it on lower price, and boom. It will gives more profit to them.
(Oh yeah, not to mention that those midrangers chipset tends to have better efficiency than the flagship chipset, since, y'know, it has lower clockspeed while having the same fabrication size)

Xiaomi using their own brand glass is not a pro. It should be Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

If the outer display could be used on any app, in the kind of way that the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra can do; if the outer display had LTPO; and if the phone didn't throttle so damn hard, this would definitely be *THE* flip-style foldable phone of the year.

This probably will be my first foldable phone.. great review.
Tick almost all the boxes..only downside is the lack of ultra wide lens.

according to android authority. this the only flip smartphone that can used to accept calls when still flip, coz mix flip has additional mic on the outer screen below the hinges
