jiyen235, 01 Oct 2024what's the point of having a high res 1/2.55" UW ... moreLatest Pro max always outsell previous when both are sold simultaneously.
Even if lastest is not worth over previous and price difference is 150-200.
Start may be slower, but then they buy more when previous is out of stock.

Be sure 16 or 16PM.will be most sold phone of 2025 among all brands.

The " 17 Slim / 17 Air" is tipped to cost $200,00 more than 17PM with worse hardware.
Media will be drooling on it because of its design and tell people it is worth having.

With that battery, Google ought to be ashamed of themselves; losing to Apple on battery life.

The Pixel 10 better fix this considering their processors are almost never meant for gaming...

what's the point of having a high res 1/2.55" UW cam? It just seems like a scam to make people think there's an improvement where there isn't any. The photos don't seem all that great, they're ok or maybe even good at times but it ain't anything special. I like the filmic, soft look of the night time shots but the X100 Ultra/Pro and the Find X7 Ultra destroy this, the 14 Ultra's UW cam seems to be its closest competitor. Another "Apple innovation" that's just only in name.

Same can be said of the charging, 45W charging is available but it's slower than or the same speed as the older one, with the exception of the first 15 mins. The battery is larger but ig the higher res screen and the slightly larger screen cancel it out and that's why the numbers are so similar.

The chip performs marvelously in CPU tests and the CPU stability is cool although I wonder why the test was only 30 mins long compared to android's 60 min long tests. The chip was throttling already and it seemed like it'd have throttled further if it went on.

The GPU sustained performance is superb. Apple seems to have dialed up the cooling but if you look closely you'll see that the lowest scores are basically the same as the X100 Pro/IQOO 12 whereas the highest scores are 60% higher on those phones. Context matters and so I think even though on paper Apple is more stable, the X100 Pro/IQOO 12 still are better because they can be pushed harder and their worst is no worse than Apple's, rather it's actually better.

So basically, a no good UW cam, icky camera control, same battery life, overall the same charging speed, icky GPU performance compared to android but strong CPU performance and thinner bezels with a larger and sharper screen. What's the point in buying this if the old one exists? There's literally nothing new and the older Pros are getting Apple Intelligence too so this is just textbook mediocrity.

The first Iphone series that takes good natural photos, without a massive over sharpening.

"At 10x, the 16 Pro Max captures decent detail - it's roughly on par with the likes of the Galaxy S24 Ultra or the Pixel 9 Pro XL, it's just that the iPhone has a noisier, more blotchy presentation than those other two."
The iPhone is full of fake details just like previous iPhones at 10x. This can be seen in the image of the clock or in comparisons from other reviewers.

Forgot to mention some video modes require external storage.
            Which is failure.

Jeez, those signs in the low-light pictures, with both the main camera and the telephoto. They're beyond horrendous and look like they came out of a mid-ranger from 2015. I think it's both a lens issue and a processing issue here.

are you afraid of put android phones/s24 ultra on competition page, LOL

Remember, Sony's design is outdated. Apple copying the flatscreen and camera button is innovative.
