Anon., 22 Oct 2024Just curious why did you switch from your s23 to this phoneBecause my s23 ultra was trash, especially the cheap OLED screen. So therefore I threw it on the landfill and bought myself one of the best Xiaomi devices out there on the market.

sutibu719, 22 Oct 2024man just go buy a xiaomi atp
you didn't even test th... moreThere are plenty of good Motorola models with all essential features such as audio jack, FM radio, sd card slot, IPS LCD, IR blaster and more. Most of them use snapdragon 695 though... which isn't the greatest processor to be honest. It's quite outdated actually.
As you can see it doesn't always have to be a Xiaomi even though they're the best of the best.

you didn't even test the phone or anything, you have no idea how it runs, and if you want an LCD and a headphone jack just get anything that's really cheap
we moved past these points, for better or worse
and no i'm not trying to defend motorola or any company in general, i never sticked to one company so i don't have any favorites or anything

If you don't like OLED, don't buy any device with an OLED screen. Just stick to buying mediocre entry-level and lower-midrange phones with IPS LCD screens, bro.

While I can understand that, I still think he has no business calling OLED "crap" for that reason alone, especially when manufacturers like Motorola, Honor, and Xiaomi are now adding DC dimming for their devices.
I never had any headaches with OLED because I always keep the brightness above 70%, I don't often use my phone in the dark, and I don't tend to stare at my phone for hours without end.

Not only this impersonator is a barely compact (it's a small phone of the current year), but it packs less battery, than the device released 8 years ago, which is only a marginally bigger than this abonimation.

jiyen235, 21 Oct 2024like if you said TV OLEDs are behind LCDs in terms of brigh... moreNo not all LCD are better than crap-o-led.
For instance TFT LCD is just as bad as OLED. But IPS LCD will always win hands down in every single comparison versus OLED.
Mark these words.

Anonymous, 21 Oct 2024Been using this phone for about 2 months. I am a heavy busi... moredamn, switching from an s23 to this and still not facing HUGE issues speaks volumes about how good this is. SoC lag is inevitable. A snapdragon 7+ gen 2 or faster chip is needed nowadays to have smooth operation

Anonymous, 21 Oct 2024That guy just goes around random forums and comments sectio... morelike if you said TV OLEDs are behind LCDs in terms of brightness, you'd be right, but on phones OLEDs reign supreme in terms of brightness.
And in terms of motion he could've brought up Plasma or CRT displays. But nope, he's delusional enough to think LCDs are better. crazyyyy

The Tech Watchdog, 21 Oct 2024Actually, the edge 50 neo only has UFS 2.2, with very high ... moreTechnically, this phone has uMCP4 which means integrated LPDDR4X RAM with UFS 2.2 internal memory. It's a pity that it's not uMCP5 (integrated LPDDR5 with UFS 3.1)

anon , 21 Oct 2024Is this satire? Like genuinelyThat guy just goes around random forums and comments sections talking crap about phones that don't have the features he wants.
And the fact he thinks OLED screens are trash compared to IPS LCD is just hilarious.

Been using this phone for about 2 months. I am a heavy business user (Outlook, Office, plenty of video and voice calls). Need a good camera for private purposes as well (mainly for stills, almost no videos). Do not play games at all. Switched from S23. Was looking for reasonably sized device, money wasn't an issue. Tested against S24, Xiaomi 14, 14T Pro, Flip 6, etc. before the final purchase. My decision was based on: 1. By far the best display of the tested phones. 2. Speaker quality (very loud if needed, reasonable sound quality). 3. Battery endurance (totally different universe to S23/24, for example). 4. Camera quality (I like the processing in most of the situations, to compare Samsung processing is too soft and too much noise all around). 5. Clean Android (plus I got already two updates within the 2 months). What I do not like? 1. Camera lag (despite not being big, it can cause issues in some situations, solution is to take multiple shots and choose the right one later). 2. Slower processor (things happen fragments of the seconds slower then on high-end machines, not a big issue in real life though). Other points. 1. Build is really solid (I do not care if it is plastic or titan or so, it just feels perfectly ok). 2. No overheating at all. 3. Fast charging (although you do not really need it).
