PaxLucis , 20 Oct 2024Another expensive e-waste from Motorola! Hard pass! Next please!5 years of support even its its slow security updates are as if not more important than full os updates from 14 to 15. And they have promised the edge 50 neo to get up to android 19.

It's still not low enough IMO, because it's wholly uncompetitive with other phones in its price bracket and brings almost nothing to the table that the iPhone 12 didn't already have.

There are plenty of good YouTube tutorials out there that teach u how to do it. Good luck!

PaxLucis , 20 Oct 2024Another expensive e-waste from Motorola! Hard pass! Next please! You are right it's electronic garbage for the dumpster. No sd card slot, no audio jack, crap-o-led.
Throw it straight on the landfill!

          It's UFS 3.1 storage

Generaly a good phone for average user. I don't think there's better display at this price range as well.

If this phone had a fruit logo on the back, Guaranteed GSMarena would have slapped on 2 additional stars.

I've heard lots of bad reviews about laggy camera app on Edge 50 neo. Can someone write more about this? How annoying is it really? Is it region specific or all devices are affected?

The night photos are very good. the video as expected is rather underwhelming.

i dont understand the point behind benchmark tests anymore. For majority users, they wouldnt even spot a difference between top scorers and lower ones.

White balance on the cameras looks too blueish

I'm impressed with those battery scores with such a small capacity. The 7300 is underpowered but match it with the LTPO screen and it is pretty decent.

Pretty impressive package for the price, especially in India where it costs just $280 for 8GB/256GB variant.

Of course there would be some deficiencies/shortcomings in a budget phone such as this, but truth be told, we need such devices to get traction and succeed. Currently the sub-$500 smartphone market is saturated with phones with bulky hardware and spammy and bloated software.

                              Dimensity 7300 can't do 4k 60fps
Other than that it's a solid choice.

Missed opportunity to go for a more durable plastic / carbon fibre variant to complement mil 810h grading, instead of going with vegan leather. As we all know vegan leather has peeling issues in long run.

This and the fact that it cant do 4k60 on rear cams are the reasons why I had to look elsewhere for compact phones.
                                  Nevertheless fine job from moto

I heard that the update to Android 14 on the G54 removed the option to reverse the navigation keys, so if the owner hadn't reversed them in Android 13, it's impossible to switch them. That's a joke.
