David 040882, 19 Oct 2024For a relatively compact smartphone these days, and its rat... moreexcept for the gaming scores, which most companies fail at anyways, this phone has damn near exceptional battery life. Better than the S24 Ultra in video playback and web browsing, now THAT'S something to be proud of. Motorola ain't playing around.

if motorola had a more fleshed out software/software update policy OR better camera software, they'd easily have been the low-upper midrange GOAT of the current era. They just need some Oppo+Hasselblad/Xiaomi or Huawei+Leica/Vivo+Zeiss kind of collaboration i think. These photos are nice but having some style or character would take them to the next level. The clinical photography of iPhones, Samsungs and Google Pixels may net you higher dxomark scores but stylistic shots will win the hearts of people, that's what i think at least.

" The recently released OnePlus Nord 4 is next on the list. It's entirely made of aluminum,"

No, it is not. It has piece of glass like pixel 1 and 2. Where cameras are.

As usual GSMA skew it's reviews away from positives and land firmly in the negative as this device isn't a Xiaomi or a Samsung. I've had the chance to live with this phone for a couple of weeks and it's a hidden gem, yes it's a mid-ranger but it's design and performance should make it a mid range best buy.

Finally. Some people say it has bad battery life... Some others say it is good... Dunno what to believe.

              About damn time

                Jesus christ finally

Optional, 19 Oct 2024USB 2.0 is a dealbreaker. What do you expect at mid range price?

People really need to stop being so cheap.

Spend more money on a flagship if you want better specs.

Optional, 19 Oct 2024USB 2.0 is a dealbreaker. True, but barely any phones have USB 3.2 in this segment ($300-$500) and probably even fewer have a microSD slot!
It's really frustrating not having either, beer even though I've 256GB onboard it gets full & is a pain to dump to my laptop!

Unfortunately the option to turn off the Charge Boost (the fast charging) won't work. According to official Lenovo/Motorola forum support:

"...Even with fast charging disabled in the settings, your device may still use faster speeds with the original charger. This can happen due to specific charging protocols or features in the charger itself..."
