X100 Ultra is a stronger cameraphone. I think X200 Pro wasn't necessary, X200 Pro Mini yes and X200 Ultra.

The main camera is definitely a downgrade from the x100 pro. Doesn't capture as much detail in daytime and this sensor isn't as suitable for 2x crop and high resolution mode due to the sensor technology. Also saw a detailed Chinese comparison and without the night mode the x100 pro really crushes it in very low light situations. There is no comparison at all as the gap is huge. However with nightmode on the x200pro is neck and neck so the software seems to be able to work some magic in nightmode. Apart from the main camera and similar ultrawide though I think the x200 pro is generally better than the x100 pro in other areas, especially battery life and the periscope is also better

The photos are impressive. Noise reduction in the shadows is the best I have seen. The ISP in Dimensity 9400 is really doing some magic. The sensor helps too, but it is the ISP that gives life to the raw data.

      👏👏👏

vivo X200 Pro uses screens from two suppliers, AFAIK BOE and Visinox, with the latter being superior

I wish smartphones would just ditch the ultrawide camera and instead spend the space and money on better main and telephoto cameras. Modern smartphones have main cameras that are already super wide, there’s not enough difference to the ultrawide to make it worth it. Or just be sensible and make the main camera 35mm, then the ultrawide is more justifiable.

How is 90W charging speed a Con, while iPhones and galaxies have awful charging and don't get called "average"?

Anonymous, 26 Oct 2024It is hardware issue, but vivo said firmware solution is on... morethey are lying with straight face, it would never be a fix, they own many reviewers in China. Oppo and Vivo paid numerous reviewers, even less influential individual ones (think of in China but average views count is less than 5000) "collaborated" with them.

The most hilarious case is that, one reviewer with more than a million subs has been actively patrolling in his comment section, and put all user who questioned his result to blocklist...

Some here blindly believe this one with exmor RS that has same features of old imx803 would beat imx989 despite being 70% smaller.
Same brand, newer ISP, latest firmware.
                  Still lost.

Those 7.4X and 10X shots from the telephoto unit look very impressive, specially at night...wow. "Sammy" and Appale" need to work more...falling behind chinese brands in the camera department a bit every year!

Can’t wait for the Vivo X200 Pro Mini review, it literally obliterates Google Pixel 9 Pro hardware wise, while undercutting it price wise as well

Shame we don't get this brand in the UK.

"The 200MP mode, on the other hand, is more for completeness' sake than for actual usefulness"
Not true. When I look at for example the third and fourth 200 megapixel image, there are certain areas where you do get significantly more detail (or even fewer demosaicing artifacts) in comparison with the 50 megapixel mode.

550 nits of sustainable brightness? This has to be a mistake or this display is from 2021.

                                  Samsung has been falling behind.
However the One Ui still makes a compelling case in itself

No mention of the lens flare problem? I know all that has to be done to mitigate the lens flaring is to block the light source with your hand, but still, from my testing the lens flare is way more severe than on my Find X7 Ultra.
Even though I'm more of a telephoto guy, it's still a problem, and it deserves a mention in my opinion.

                                      Well, that was fast
