        I have Pixel 8 Pro now and there are very rare situations where lens flare is big under some angle.

          Vasra, 27 Oct 2024X200 Pro has REGRESSION in camera performance in some areas... moreWell, the X200pro's new WA camera module is arguably slightly worse in low light and at x2 digital zoom compared to the X100 pro's 1"-sensor.
          In my opinion this is a marginal trade-off for getting the huge, phenomenal 1/1.4" zoom camera module that is by far the best in class tele-lens on the market right now. There is also no visible degradation of image quality between main camera and tele-camera, whis always the case with other cameras with huge main sensors and tiny tele-sensors.

          I have a FF MILC-camera and 80% of time there is a 85mm lens attached to it - that's my shooting style.

We do not know if the global version would have some different settings that may or may not affect battery life. So, i wish, someone repeats that same battery life testing when the global variant of the X200pro comes to light.

              Smallworld, 28 Oct 2024The battery life isn't that impressive considering the... moreI generally agree, that one could have expected more from a 6000mAh battery, but the physical dimensions of the battery are lower than from traditional batteries of that same capacity, so there is no trade-off to be had from the high capacity in the X200pro.
              Of course it would have been even more impressive if vivo managed to improve on power-efficiency, but all in all, the battery life is pretty solid for a ultra-fast SoC and large high-res screen.

                a) the lens flare problem might affect only some but not all devices

                b) lens flares might manifest only in very specific lighting conditions (e.g. backlight from specific angles).

                  Obviously that instead of replacing units with huge lens flare, i bet vivo is gonna use oppo's trick to digitally remove it , reason vivo has announced update solution is on the way.

                  So lame... These eraser tools never work properly. Just look at Google's. Very 💩

Only time where sustainable peak performance is required is video recording. So take both phones to shoot 4K30fps 10bit HLG in image stacking mode and see which one dies first or stops recording. Then check both of the recorded video files for dropped frames and average bitrate.

Throttling can get inconsistent and too fast/slow, that's what he doesn't get, and it gets fixed in a update, for example notebookcheck did get mix flip through stress test without test closing.

                            The review of 10 iv they mention 20 runs. Still 99% stability.

                            Funny when chinese phones like xiaomi shut down the benchmark, you remain in silence.
                            You never bring on the fact chinese phones can barely handle 10 min of 4k recording while using 1/3 of bitrates compared to iphone and xperia, still cannot last as much and silently drop frames to 45-50 , what ruins the footage.

                            Xperia with 4k screen still had better numbers than 90% of xiaomi phones.

                            By the way, phones of larger volume will deal easier with heat due to larger surface.
                            See how pro max does better than pro.

                            This with 3nm soc, 6000mAh and less than QHD, should have scored 15h at least. But uses more power than x100 pro. Huge failure

                              A 12 megapixel dual pixel sensor actually has 24 megapixel. But due to the microlens array, one wouldn't get a resolution advantage over a 12 megapixel sensor, so these sensors are advertised as 12 megapixel sensors.

                              Surprisingly, Quad Pixel autofocus (2x2 OCL) sensors seem to work better for high resolution images, though it should be still worse than Quad Bayer, which is also worse than Bayer for high resolution results.

                              The sensor of the periscope camera of the Vivo X100 Ultra is a Quad Pixel autofocus (2x2 OCL) sensor and in Gsmarena's X200 Pro sample images, there is significantly more detail in certain areas when compared with the 50 megapixel results. I have also seen sample images from other phones where 2x2 OCL high resolution modes worked ok.

                              But yes, it's of course strange that the performance at 2x is so much worse.

                              The 50 megapixel dng files of the Pixel 9 Pro's periscope camera have less detail than 15x zoom dng files of a Pixel 7 Pro, so I also wonder whether the periscope camera of the 9 Pro maybe has a 2x2 OCL sensor, though, according to a rumor, the 9 Pro's periscope has the same sensor as the selfie camera, which has Dual Pixel autofocus according to Google. But Google doesn't mention Dual Pixel autofocus for the periscope camera, Google only mentioned that the sensor of the periscope camera has an improved autofocus.

Look at the stability score and you'll see. The phone is optimized to have the highest power usage for 1-20 seconds and then it goes down hard and fast later on.

                                The 1 VI is not as fast as these phones so it has good battery. it's not rocket science.
