Aierlan, 26 Oct 2024The main camera is definitely a downgrade from the x100 pro... morethe periscope and the main cam seem to be not tuned as well. I think this needs one to two more months of updates to really be good, OR it could be that the sensor's THAT bad? Idk, i've seen the X100 Ultra, 14 Ultra and the Find X7 Ultra at launch and after a lot of updates, things changed dramatically. I hope it just needs more updates.

Love this phone. Excellent overall. I am the first customer in my city, Shenyang China
People are just super overreacting the camera glare problem. 99.9% of the time its not there. Use the phone like a normal person and you are good to go! Surprisingly theres no notification delays when using whatsapp! Google works all good.

Sustained Performance is as good as last gen SoCs. Temperatures are good. Battery life is good. Looks like Dimensity 9400 has done a good job. 8 Elite is going to be even better. These next gen chips are doing amazing so far.

Aierlan, 26 Oct 2024The main camera is definitely a downgrade from the x100 pro... moreWhat do you mean with sensor technology of main cam and 2x zoom?

Auguste, 26 Oct 2024Can’t wait for the Vivo X200 Pro Mini review, it literally ... moreNo V3+ Chip and the UW cam is worse, so you're basically trading a better UW cam for a better telephoto cam. I think the Mini is the best compact phone out now but not by a huge margin. Vivo nerfed it too hard. Needed either a better main cam, better UW cam, a better telephoto cam or AT LEAST the V3+ Chip.

And it seems BOE put their money where their mouth is this year, absolutely TOP NOTCH stuff! I just wish Vivo weren't so conservative with the control they give to the user in terms of manual brightness. L move imo, even the Find X7 Ultra reached 800 nits in manual mode and that phone was 800-ish nits dimmer in auto mode lmao. I'd be interested in seeing sustained brightness tests, these phones get bright yeah but some sustained numbers would be super helpful.

The speakers have a nice frequency response and seem to distort less than any other non-xiaomi chinese phone but man oh man the compression is hideous. It seems only Xiaomi and Asus have nailed smartphone speakers but Vivo's getting closer. They just need slightly brighter speakers with less compression. I don't think the VIvo's "mid-centric", i think it'd be more accurate to say other phones lack mids. but the vivo also lacks lower mids so yeah, kinda weird lol

why use the Wild Life Extreme stress test instead of the usual Wild Life stress test? If you WERE going to add it, why not just add the Wild Life stress test as well? Seems weird. In any case, the worst Wild Life Extreme run is better or equivalent to the SD 8 Gen 2, I think that is INSANE progress. Stability % matters, yes, but i mean, maintaining the SD 8 Gen 2 level peak power at worst? I think that's huge stuff.

The main camera processing seems extra artificial this year, thanks to the smaller sensor. The 2x zoom shots are further proof of that. The UW cam is sad for the price and the telephoto is the only saving grace. But the 10x is surprisingly not that great.

Dunno how to feel about this, this Vivo X phone excites in every aspect OTHER than the camera. Maybe updates will fix it but feels kinda underwhelming. Kudos to GSMArena for the relatively fast review

Those close-ups are amazing. I've never seen that quality from a smartphone camera.

This is why so many phones cannot even do 10 min.
Few years ago, most had 5 min limit.

The telephoto is incredible. Bummer to see these sustained test results, but as proven by geekerwan, the phone is amazing in prolonged gaming sessions. Maybe you guys should switch to or add a more real-world-like stress test. These synthetic stress tests are unrealistic, specially when gaming is the most demanding thing the majority of people do on a phone.

This phone sounds very unimpressive. The downgraded main camera, and the shabby ultra wide are definitely cons.

Also apparently Vivo removed the ability to check whether your display was made BOE or Visionox. It only works on initial FW. If you updated then you can't check. Just great.
You can check by opening the dialer (with stock Vivo phone app!) and dialing *#225#, and then a special menu with information will appear. I don't know which one I have because I learned about this method only after I updated the firmware.

I know all that has t... moreHopefully, the X200 Pro's cameras won't be as prone to lens fogging (where the higher-end Xiaomis seem to have some problems), which is a much more serious issue than lens flaring. I'd much rather have assured lens flaring than a high chance of lens fogging.

Keep us posted, mate, if anything like that happens.

Why so little information on the Origin OS Software? You couldn’t highlight some of the standout features?

I think I’d rather buy the Xiaomi 15 series. You get much better color processing, longer software support, snapdragon elite and otherwise similar hardware.

X100 Ultra is a stronger cameraphone. I think X200 Pro wasn't necessary, X200 Pro Mini yes and X200 Ultra.

The main camera is definitely a downgrade from the x100 pro. Doesn't capture as much detail in daytime and this sensor isn't as suitable for 2x crop and high resolution mode due to the sensor technology. Also saw a detailed Chinese comparison and without the night mode the x100 pro really crushes it in very low light situations. There is no comparison at all as the gap is huge. However with nightmode on the x200pro is neck and neck so the software seems to be able to work some magic in nightmode. Apart from the main camera and similar ultrawide though I think the x200 pro is generally better than the x100 pro in other areas, especially battery life and the periscope is also better
