🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨

X200 Ultra with LYT818 instead of 900 ( samples hete of 200 pro prove the change was bad idea) for 23mm and 15mm cameras.
Periscope with HPX ( renamed hp9) ..

Downgrade, this rog is the woke version of rog, trying to appeal people that wouldn't buy. gone are the days where things that matter to gamers are upgraded. oh you like the big speaker? we remove it! You like no accidental touches while gaming? we give accidental touches while gaming. you like big screen? we make hole in the big screen because F U that's why. The old placement of the triggers are comfortable? fck u we make it uncomfortable for gamers! oh btw heres a camera thats good but below flagship level because we love gamers.

jiyen235, 19 Nov 2024my point is, the ROG Phone charges at essentially the same ... moreYes, and the only reason it got listed as a con on the X200 Pro is not because it's slow charging speed on its own, but because it doesn't deliver 90W worth of speed, or in other words, that they kind of lied about the actual charging speed. So it's not listed amongst the cons as slow charging speed, because it isn't. It's listed amongst the other cons because it's not 90W as vivo claims it to be, and that's misleading. If they listed it as having 60W or 65W, which are more accurate numbers on how fast the X200 Pro charges, then yeah, I'm sure GSMArena wouldn't have listed it as a con.

I couldn't care less either about it having 65W or 90W or whatever. I'm just saying that from GSMArena's point of view, and a reviewer's point of view in general, this is listed as a con.

David 040882, 19 Nov 2024Nah mate, I think you're not explaining yourself well.... moremy point is, the ROG Phone charges at essentially the same speed as the X200 Pro, considering the fact that it has a 200 mah smaller battery, yet it is listed as a pro here and a con there.

I don't get why 90W vs 65 W even matters, what matters most is what you get out of the charging, in other words the speed. I couldn't care less if Asus got this speed with 20W of charging. What matters is the end result, the end result is basically the same yet it is listed as a con there but not here.

jiyen235, 19 Nov 2024if that's a con, how is it a pro here? this is a 200 m... moreNah mate, I think you're not explaining yourself well. Here it's a pro because the charging speed actually is of 65W, while the X200 Pro didn't deliver 90W worth of speed, but actually more of 60-65W. And what about the ROG having a smaller battery by 200mAh? What do you mean by it?

David 040882, 19 Nov 2024I either misunderstood what you mean or you don't unde... moreU must see how fast goes to the 80%. After that, many of them slow down charging speed to protect battery.

David 040882, 19 Nov 2024I either misunderstood what you mean or you don't unde... moreif that's a con, how is it a pro here? this is a 200 mah smaller battery???? Idk what your point is.

2 years software support for 1500€. Next...

jiyen235, 19 Nov 2024does the claim matter more than the actual speed? What kind... moreI either misunderstood what you mean or you don't understand my comment. You said that that the charging speed of the X200 Pro (claimed 90W) is listed as a con in the X200 Pro review, to which you don't agree, apparently. And the 65W charging speed is listed as a pro on the ROG Phone 9/9 Pro. However, both the X200 Pro's 90W and ROG Phone 9's 65W perform nearly identically in terms of speed, which is not normal, as the 90W of the X200 Pro should've been way faster, and yet it isn't, which is why it is very logically listed as a con.

[deleted post]I wouldn't call it "trash", but it's simply "meh" all around. ROG Phones used to have at least one thing they were absolutely THE BEST on the market - the speakers. Without that, they are just another phone. I don't see any reason to get it over Redmagic 10, Realme GT 7 Pro or even OnePlus 12, especially since all of them are cheaper and aside from Redmagic, they have much better software support.
Even Xiaomi with it's new software/hardware magic which wildly improved the efficiency(on top of gains from the new Snapdragon) would be more interesting choice. I simply cannot fathom why would they try to get out od their niche of the best audio into generic market of averageness.

                      damn
I wasn't expecting such a detailed review tbh

This is the kinda of product that you know it will be bad after a while.

no matter how much the upgrades, the design will always be generic and boring and for that sole reason I'll not consider this phone. The design up till the 7 was best

David 040882, 19 Nov 2024For the claimed 90W that the X200 Pro has, it's pretty... moredoes the claim matter more than the actual speed? What kind of ridiculous argument is that lmao

Poor resolution for a 6.8 screen let alone a gaming phone

This is basically the device I'm looking for. A SD 8 Elite phone with fast, bright display, good speakers, long battery life and Stock-Android. It's just so unfortunate that Asus stuck with their 2-year OS upgrade strategy...

This phone isn't designed for me. I don't do mobile gaming. Plus the absurd screen size would immediately remove it from any consideration for me.

HOWEVER it is great to prove the absolute BS that is the "we needed the space" excuse to remove something BASIC like the headphone jack from flagship phones.
Oh, poor you Samsung, you HAD to remove the headphone jack from your gigantic "Ultra" cause you needed the space? Funny... Asus seems to have no trouble finding space for not only the 3.5mm port but ALSO a second USB-C port...
                                        How weird...
It's almost like you're just lying and removing it to copy the garbage fruit phone...
