I AM AMAZING, 11 Jan 2025Hi. Would you recommend this, or the OnePlus 13?Of course OP13,
sadly OP13 is not official / black market in my country, so its so risky for me.
At the end, official phone is more safe for aftersales and warranty.

Is the camera great over the vivo x200 pro mini? How is the software compared to coloros? I'm torn between the two devices. Any insights is greatly apprecaited.

Have been using this flagship for 1 month.
With this flagship price range, it unfortunately still lacks premium hardware:
- Optical fingerprint, not ultrasonic fingerprint
- Still non LTPO, even the Samsung S24 (non ultra) already uses an LTPO screen
- Gorilla glass 7i, seriously? 7i is dedicated to entry - midrange phones
- LYT-808 camera sensor, then in my opinion the camera results in too much processing, sometimes AI processing changes the original color (example: orange color changes to red).
But this phone has a great design! good speakers, good display, good ui, wireless reverse charging without cables, Silicone Battery in Compact phone, fast charging.
Satisfied but a little disappointed.

"The Dimesity's CPU uses an all-big-core design, with one 'prime' Cortex-X925 core (up to 3.63GHz), three Cortex-X4 units (2.3GHz), and four Cortex-A720 cores (2.4GHz). "
3x X4 @ 3.3GHz, not 2.3GHz.

Raz, 03 Dec 2024Global version can translate display from usb? Usb version ... moreNo. It does not support display-out, as mentioned by GSMArena. It's USB 3.0, or USB 3.2 Gen 1x1 (Based on USB IF specifications).

Anonymous, 24 Nov 2024X8 Ultra
1/2" 13mm
1" 23mm
1/1.56&qu... moreThe phone would retail at $2k+ for those specs. The manufacturers have to make compromises relative to how much consumers are prepared to pay.
Likely 2 cameras share a 1" sensor, the other two will have the same sensor as the X8 Pro.
I seriously doubt it will get a global release either. Oppo are essentially testing the waters outside of China with these two phones.
If they are a success, then the X9, X9 Pro and X9 Ultra will get a global release. If the X8 fails to sell in high enough numbers, Oppo will abandon intl markets once again.

This is a superb phone. Great overall, i only see one major flaw,,it has no ltpo screen and this means battery waste while browsing.
I would be interested to buy, due to its size, weight and battery ratio, but in Europe only its sibling, the massive pro has arrived. Oppo announced that there will be a global version for both, but it is nowhere to be found yet.

But starting with OxygenOS 12, it's basically turned into just another variation of Oppo's lame ColorOS skin.

I really like the operating system that equips the Oppo, Realme and Oneplus lines. The problem, in my opinion, is that the brands lose their identity, because everything has become very similar.

Good to see they stepped up the updates to 5+1 years. Does ColorOS offer battery limiting like Samsung does? I know I'm nitpicking, but for me it's important feature than basically no one offers except Samsung.

If they removed an actual physical button then it'd have been a huge con but i don't really care about fake gimmicks so it's fine that they removed it here.

I wish they fix that sky color since now it's half purple, half blue in most of the scenes. Otherwise pretty good specs and phone from Oppo.
