I think this comment feature on gsmarena looks like 20 years ago, it's so bad, but that's not why I'm here.
The OP13 review here is like the lowest ranking of any of the OP13 reviews out there. It the phone really that bad (i know the score is not bad, but still way behind a S24U) or do they just don't like OP? Here in Switzerland we don't have access to a lot of the chinese brands officially unless you import them or a big store imports them. And the OP13 would be available unlike the Vivos for example.
We also have eSim available in the OP13, only the power brick is missing.
So it gsmarena here wrong or is it really not a top flagship phone?

sdkk, 09 Jan 2025Different people, different flavors, different preferences.... moreyeah i got you man. The Oneplus 12 last year was imo the most complete phone for the money, 90% of people would've been happy with that, the OP 13 continues that trend.

jiyen235, 09 Jan 2025where are you seeing "bad" selfies? I can't ... moreDifferent people, different flavors, different preferences. Realistically, every flagship phone is good at the photos and it's really a matter of preferences. It depends on the scene, some phones are a little better, some a little worse. For me, the difference is 5-6-7 percent. The only thing I'm really jealous of Vivo is the macro photos. At 1+ 13 you have to be at least 50cm to focus, but it still makes quite decent pictures. For my taste, Samsung makes yellow photos, Google dark photos, Vivo add blue, especially in the sky of the snings, on the iPhone and cheyomas (and until recently I was a Har fan of the chayri), it seems reddish photos. Too bright. For me, Oneplus really approaches the most of the roar color, especially the skin of the skin. I say again - for me. And Oxygen is just a phenomenal operating system. I have access to Samsung and Iphone on a daily basis and with my heart I say - I prefer oxygenos every day everywhere. I also talk about experience, as I use 1+ 10 pro. But I almost always shoot in Master Mode. That's how I specialized in Hasselbrad's gluttony that I already take my pictures while I walk, and I'm not stationary. And the results are great. And most importantly for me, during these 3 years, the photo software was so improved after the updates that when I look at a photo from Bachao and Sninka from now, they seem to me to be made by 2 different phones with a few years of difference between them. Today I even ordered 1+13 16/256. It was a pretty good offer - 100 Euro discount and 1+ 2R clock and wireless gift headset. For my taste 1+, they are currently offering the most complete product for the money they want for other manufacturers. But everyone is free to buy and enjoy what they think best for themselves. I just shared my mind and my taste. And I am a person who wants to take the maximum for the money he gives, so I do not slave to a brand. If I think that another brand gives me the same money - I won't even think and I will prefer it.

The design is like from midrange phone with thic bottom bezel.

Greg Helvetique, 08 Jan 2025Same price as Samsung/Google but not going to 7 years softw... morethey have a better phone than the direct price competitors. The S25+ will obviously be inferior.

SO essentially you choose between a phone that has more updates but is worse or a phone that has less updates but is good.

sdkk, 09 Jan 2025300 euros more is unacceptable to me. After all the reviews... morewhere are you seeing "bad" selfies? I can't see any video that has ONLY bad selfies. The Vivo is extremely inconsistent, The Tech Phenomena has some nice vids on YT, the X200 Pro on one day takes GREAT, damn near faultless selfies and on another day they're terrible but some great ones are mixed there as well. I didn't see any round of photos with the Vivo which were all around terrible.

Also, the Oneplus boosts the colors, A LOT. Through Jermaine's Lens had a nice video on it. Oneplus/Oppo boost everything in Auto mode. If you want realistic shots you need to go for Master Mode. Otherwise Vivo is definitely more accurate.

And yeah, i did mention that in an earlier comment. The Oneplus is good enough for 90% of people and then some. The software is really great as well. But I don't think Funtouch is bad, it's just not exceptional like the others. And I value camera, not knocking on you, im just saying these different phones cater to different people. The extra 300 euros gets you the best phone cameras around basically, so i don't really think it's not NOT worth it. But I do understand your POV completely.

Oh btw, Oneplus/Oppo have a horrendous problem when taking backlit human subject shots. So if you plan to take photos like that, stay cautious.

Display 510 pp ❌ cunsum more battery
                  And 1080 is enough.
120 FPS is overpower most of games and apps are 60 FPS so why you force us with 120 Fps.
Camera : 50 migapixel ❌ 12 migapixel is more than enough and its better in lowlight photos.
No FM Radio , Tv support , jack , HDMI etc .
Onelus 13 is disappointed its fans . 💔

eSim it's maybe unsupported in china, most of the world has it

Based on GSMA's reviews, the Zenfone 11 Ultra is better than this.

Anonymous, 09 Jan 2025People like you won't get it, or refuse to. Everyth... moreYou're right, but you're also wrong. All companies around the world work on the principle of maximum profit, minimum investment. If someone really cared about the end user, Samsung and Apple wouldn't sell such overpriced products... Secondly, smartphones today have little in common with those from, say, 10 years ago. Today's processors consume many times more energy and emit many times more heat. That's why a large part of the phone's volume is taken up by the battery and cooling. It's not like there's room for everything. At least now phones are equipped with 2, 3, 4 cameras, not one, which also take up space. It's not just that I want an SD card slot, here it is. I need space on the circuit board and wiring tracks on it. Yes, from time to time some manufacturer performs miracles and releases a top model with one of the things you're missing. That's why you either buy from them, or move forward and adapt to market trends. And no matter how much you complain, no one will make you a phone exactly according to your requirements.

Everything that he said was something all phones had that made them usefull tools, some would say smart as in "Smartphone"
Instead of making this things better they decided to remove them for profit.

And your comparison - cd players came out, what, 40 years ago and I can still buy a casetteplayer if I want to. Where are the smartphones will all the features? Jack, sd slot, fm radio, IR blaster ...
When wireless headphones and cloudstorage will be 40 years old we should be able to still have all this then, by your logic, right?

Got the 50 quid pre-order deal thinking it was a better one that you can get at launch to then see new orders get 100 quid off...
Tried to get the launch price plus the 50 quid, not allowed.
Also the UK version comes without a charger.
Given the UK price point, not including a charger and under all reviews falls behind direct competition it was a no brainer to pass on this new model.

jiyen235, 09 Jan 2025That's because the X200 Pro is plenty good enough and ... more300 euros more is unacceptable to me. After all the reviews and comparisons of the two phones. Yes, Vivo takes brilliant macro photos and great telephotos, but selfies are bad. At times it looks like a frame from Cartoon Network... The colors of the 1+ photos are the closest to real ones for me, it also takes brutal photos of moving objects. Add to the equation the better hardware of the 1+ and software and I completely forget about Vivo. For me, the overall experience is always important, not just to make photos.

Aierlan, 09 Jan 2025Yeah. You could also look at it though from the point of vi... moreThat's because the X200 Pro is plenty good enough and has the best zoom cam out there and other cams are just gonna use the same cam. Unless you want a better UW cam, the X200 Pro is good enough and going for other phones isn't gonna be worth it. Idk much about the Find X8 Ultra, looks like it'll be a mid upgrade, the Xiaomi is gonna have horrendous battery as always and the X200 Ultra won't go global.

Basically, you get a GREAT phone with the Oneplus 13 with GOOD cameras. For 250 euros more you get a GREAT phone with GREAT cameras, if not the best rn, with the X200 Pro. For 200-300 more you wouldn't be getting much, imo at least.

jiyen235, 08 Jan 2025cheaper screen and cheaper processors don't really mat... moreYeah. You could also look at it though from the point of view that the Vivo x200 pro is 1299 euro so if adding 250 euro is not a problem why not add another 200 and wait for the ultras like the Xiaomi 15 ultra and possibly Oppo find x8 ultra or Vivo x200 ultra (if they get a global launch although I've a feeling only Xiaomi will launch their ultra model globally).
