i still wonder why gsmarena keep thinking that high resolution screen is a "PROS" ??? and at the same time they write poor battery life as "CONS" ... don't you understand that high resolution and higher nits is battery killer unless yoi the screen use LTPO ???

"If camera quality and versatility matter to you, the Motorola Edge 50 would be the better choice."
Poco was sadly never been choosen for it's camera IQ, but for the SoC speed, correlated to it's price class. The devices have been speedy, and great price/performance ratio - but not in terms of the best camera setup into its price class.

So its fine if the cameras are not good. They just need to be OK enough to take usable pictures. The biggest problem with the phone is the badly optimized OS for battery life. That is inexcusable.

Funny though, same main Sensor as the 2025 Poco M7 Pro 5G entry level phone, yikes. 50 MP, 1/1.95", go figure. I've said that before. Un-impressive. If one wants to see the IQ, check reviews on the web via M7 Pro 5G. For my taste, this is a entry level Main Sensor, too small, for a Poco "Pro" it's too little.
What's more, still that substandard 2019 8 MP UWA Cam, Xiaomi must have horted millions of these very old, cheapskate Sensors. Seriously, it's a shame to see that 8 MP UWA cam from 2019, still into 2025 and beyond...the 12/13 MP UWA Sensor from the Xiaomi 13T/Pro should be the current mininum standard for UWA cams into 2025. Anyway, i'd like to see a 50 MP UWA cam with 1/1.28" Sensor into this class, that would be cool, or at least 1/1.4" Sensor size.
Hard pass, next! Waiting for the F7 Ultra review. It's the only Xiaomi/Poco which is interesting these days, for my taste.
It's okay, if some guy doesn't agree, i have my own standards. This X7 Pro is pretty lame into 2025. You guys are not being photographers, for decades.

So the battery increment was borne out of necessity rather than technological advancements.
Doesn't this device support BT 6.0? So what improvements does it bring to the table?

there's literally nothing meaningful, apart from "ai is there, it's smooth..." Hence we keep asking and asking around

the AI Sky feature was available in older Redmi phones. But is missing in the recent Redmi phones (including the one I'm using rn). Nice to see it back. I miss this cool feature.

Honestly, I am a bit surprised with the camera results. Not the best overall, but the 8400's ISP and Xiaomi's image processing seem do be doing quite a few night magic (not so much in the day though).
Great performance, good camera(s), nice design, fast charging, good (or meh) battery...
For the price, the tradeoffs are worth it.
