People quickly get bored today it seems.

One key issue often goes unaddressed: the Pro Mode RAW problem. Since the CWB7 update on the S22 Ultra in early 2023, the so-called RAW files in Pro Mode no longer provide uncompressed, original sensor data. Instead, they’re already demosaiced and pre-processed, meaning there’s no possibility to recover highlights or shadows. This significant regression has carried over through the S23, S24, and now the S25 Ultra, representing a major loss of flexibility for photography enthusiasts.

at the release price there are way better alternatives, but with the right discount it is close to being a best buy. i bought it at the release for around 600€ ( for the 512gb size) without tradein, i dont think there something (way) better at this price. i ll see the s26 the next year, if they upgrade cameras and battery i will probably consider doing the trade in with it

So S25 has similar battery life to Exynos S24. Such a shame. I have seen tests where the Snapdragon S24 has better battery life than S25.

Basically very little in the way of upgrades in these base models in the series. They could still upgrade cameras a little for example and it wouldn't affect the reliability

Various gimmicks phone gimmicks we had like foldables or retracting cameras are only fun for youtubers to make videos about (who btw get their phones free). They are terrible in daily use. People who spend their hard earned money want a device they can trust for many years.

Can someone tell how much storage space is taking up OS (UI7)? Thanks 👍

Another disappointing standard flagship in terms of upgrades, especially camera upgrades. It joins a growing list. Vivo x200, Oppo find x8, Xiaomi 15 and now this have very little upgrades and basically no camera upgrades on the previous generations. Still, it's probably the best compact phone if compactness is the primary requirement but valuewise it seems to make more sense to go for an s24 especially if its a snapdragon one.

Anonymous, 06 Feb 2025Got an S25 Ultra in my hands, the anti-reflective coating o... moreWell, I have had a Google Pixel 7 Pro for over 2 years now, and I don't need to use a screen protector. The phone has a curved screen, and I use a slim case that doesn't offer much protection. With all that in mind, my phone has no cracks on its screen and only a few proper scratches, which are all small. Microscratches will happen no matter what you do, but they're not visible except under extremely harsh sunlight at very specific angles, and even then, they will be barely visible at all. You don't need a screen protector unless you're the kind of person who is really careless and rough with their phone, and if so, you will mostly likely damage it at some point anyway.

Are you comparing S24 Snapdragon or Exynos variants for the battery test?

It should be called S23 mark III

Design wise the only thing that I like is the fact that they adopted the Apple approach for the frame. It has slightly rounded edges which makes it somewhat more comfortable in the hand. The rest is same old Samsung stuff (just as Apple with their iPhones where nothing changes, year after year). One more positive thing is the battery performance that is now acceptable for a 4000 mah battery. It used to be much worse.

Got an S25 Ultra in my hands, the anti-reflective coating on the screen is basically pointless, if you're buying a high-end phone, you're most likely going to put some form of screen protector which will either have it's own anti-reflective coating OR (in most cases) completely make the built-in one irrelevant by introducing its own reflections (like in my case).

Samsung logo really saves . 😵‍💫

                                    Not very flagship this phone

Even if the Vivo X200 Pro mini isn't globally available, it should still have been mentioned as a great alternative to the Galaxy S25

Finally, the phone I am waiting for.... a drop in price

Discounted S25 means cheaper S24 and cheaper S23, which is basically the SAME phone
