And what do you want me to do? Do you want me to not reply to you or something? If that's the case why did you even add to this discourse by firstly replying to a random comment of mine and then secondly replying to me replying to you? Aren't you part of the problem here as well then?

The responses feel like copy and paste because the problems are the same, lmao what are you even on about? Seriously, something here must've hurt your feelings. Please go back to watching MrWhosetheboss or Marquess Brownlee and read those comments and continue reading comments which only validate your feelings about products you like.

What are yo... morePoint is, 4-5 of you have 1000000 Posts here, which make thread absolutely horrible to search and be used for sharing info regarding the device, it concerns. Noone cares of what you think, believe, want and find bad. The device exists and people interested and/or having questions or issues should be able to use it.

Besides you all are like bots - it doesn't matter who and what is telling you, the responses are always like copy paste.. I'm new here and already feeling this place is anything but gsm tech site. More like escape place for people, banned from other sites..

Long story short - get yourselves together, GSMArena admins might be from apac and tolerate you, but you are making yourselves laughable , invalidating even few meaningful posts

Point your frustration somewhere else. The S25+ is a horrendous device and you're acting smug over nothing

jiyen235, 12 Feb 2025oh dang you're talking about snapping a custom control... moreNiche? That's only if you consider "gamers" all those kids gaming on Chinese casino cash simulators, aka gatcha "games". They don't need input, just pull that lever and see what you get, provided you have put some money from parents first..
However, those might be majority, but they don't buy gaming flagships. They play on what they get as 2nd hand from parents mostly.
People that buy gaming and high end devices know what they need.. and Chinese phones fail there too. Massively.
Why am I mentioning it? Because this is s25+ thread, which got again destroyed by 100000 pointless Chinese fankids, despite million times repeating that noone here cares of Chinese flagship killers.. Good morning

However, your scenario is like niche even amongst the niche group of mobile gamers lol so i just didn't expect this. It makes sense but for 99% of mobile gamers the IQOO 13 is a far superior purchase stilll.

jiyen235, 07 Feb 2025If they had a 1/1.3" main cam, the UW cam with autofoc... moreHere's the thing, the physical inputs matter.
They matter a lot. I have the Razer JungleCat, and it remains the best controller manufactured that is actually pocketable. The X-Bone controller is okay but it requires a backpack for travel, so it is a non-starter. The GameSir G8 controller is even better / the-best when it comes to portable/tablet gaming, having the same non-pocket (backpack) size. If I wanted a portable device, I would either get the iPad Mini and G8 controller, or maybe the AYN Odin2, or probably the Valve SteamDeck. The Switch-2 is coming out soon as well.

To use the Razer JungleCat, you basically have to use a compatible case. The largest of these is the Note-9 case. And if you look at the dimensions, that is very close to a few options. Such as S24+, Pixel 8 Pro, etc etc. I went with the Pixel 8 Pro, because it gives me root. The long (+4 year) support is great. And a bonus it has Custom Roms. The Tensor Chipset is not good, about equal to the QC 7g2+ or QC 8g1+ (almost QC 8g2, and far below QC 8g4). The Samsung is the better phone in almost all the ways, except root, which is a big deal. Also in my demographic, it was the Exynos version and Expensive, whilst the Pixel 8 Pro went on a sale. I wanted to wait longer but had no choice, I needed a new phone asap.

Additionally, you could go the route of custom made brackets. So technically use the Razer JungleCat with any phone. You just need to 3D Print your own case. This might be a better idea. However, I think the overall phone should be good too (availability, price, support, features, camera, chipset, root).

Now the iQOO 13 looks interesting. It is * almost * compatible with the physical dimensions/Note-9 case for the Razer JungleCat. But it's not available in my region, so it would have to be a grey import. And on top of that, it doesn't have good software, or support, or root access, or Custom Roms. There is also the Vivo X200 Mini which looks great that I would almost buy it. Or the X200 Pro which is compatible with the Razer JungleCat. Again, expensive and grey import. Also same software experience. The Dimensity 9400 doesn't scare me, as I find it much superior to the Exynos and Google Tensor chipsets. What is available in my region is the Oppo Find X8. Good hardware. But again, no root.

For the best emulation, right now you want the QC 8g3 chipset. As that supports bonus content like Turnip Drivers for Windows 7, NSwitch, WiiU, PS Vita, Xbox, and Windows Xp gaming. The latest Snapdragon 8 Elite (aka QC 8g4) is not yet supported. Nor are any Dimensity, Exynos, or Tensor chipsets, which sometimes just crash/hang. But if you are happy with Standard Drivers and less experimental systems, yes, the other chipsets are fine for upto (x4 1080p full-speed) Nintendo Wii emulation.

Other options include, getting that M-Con gamepad (MagSafe attachment to Android and iPhones). Or get a large pocketable device, like the Retroid Pocket 5 Mini. Or get a smaller dedicated device. There's the Miyoo Mini v1, Miyoo Flip, Anbernic RG-405M, RG 35xxH (bizazzle). The issue here is that these are good for 2D/2.5D games, but not much so for 3D Games like PS2 and higher. Compared to using a Razer JungleCat and high-end Android Phone. The upside to having a second / dedicated device is security and battery life.

I hope you guys find the above helpful.

See, the mAh you see on a battery is based off from a certain voltage than the battery can sustain as an output. I wouldnt be surprised if Chinese OEMS are pulling a fuckery where the mah are being measured with a different voltage than the one being actually used, and that's why the endurance ratings arent what one would expect.

And before someone comes here to say I made this up, I actually found and became a victim of this way of "measuring" mah thanks to Anker and one of their magsafe chargers. And that's when I learned what I just posted. It's the fine print version of batteries that is now being abused by bad players like Anker.

Of all the phones Samsung has released in the last ten years, this is one of them.

What is interesting is how much gaming time the snapdragon elite gives on Samsungs. Over 10hours gaming on a 4900ma battery while honor can only manage just over 8 hours on a 5800ma equipped honor magic 7pro. If Samsung can manage this on old battery design then these new batteries are rubbish.

Just need the anti reflective screen that started on s24 ultra. By the time we get it Samsung will be equipping exynos again which is a deal breaker.

Anonymous, 09 Feb 2025Can they even be considered mid-tier? This are just bad bad bad! by mid-tier flagship I meant something like the iPhone 16 Plus or the S25+, in other words NOT the base iPhone 16 or S25 but NOT the top tier S25 Ultra or 16 Pro Max. I'm not reviewing their ranking but just using the term "mid-tier" as literally that, a term to describe where they fall in the flagship stack. In all honesty The S25+ would've made an epic 600-700 dollar flagship killer like the IQOO 13.

Just one correction on what is mentioned in the battery section of this review. - The S25+ can charge at 45w speed even with 3A cable. The samsung adapter box mentioned that for all flagship models released after 2025 will be able to charge at 45w ecen with 3A cable.
