Trust me, you'll be amazed! 💪🏾

The product itself has no issues in my eyes, i think it's as good of a product as we can get in the current market. But Xiaomi's shady and deceptive marketing is disgusting and makes me steer clear of this phone.

Apple only makes it slightly warm, compared to Samsung/Google who completely remove all warmth/coolness of the original shot. Xiaomi's also being used in the vibrant mode here which is meant to be vibrant. Idk man, if i use a vibrant mode i'd want the photos to be vivid and xiaomi nails it here.

Use Leica Authentic for natural shots. Samsung's shots aren't natural, just lifeless and "perfect" that looks better on screen that in reality. It's not a capturing of reality but a capturing of what the phone THINKS you want to see. Even my mum can notice the neutralization of life that Samsung brings to its photos.

I'll wait until GSMArena makes an editorial article comparing the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The camera photos from this review look great, but is it better than the 14 Ultra? I don't know.

Nick Tegrataker, 03 Mar 2025https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1OmQ3G08Ezcyc0Vi6-KM... moreThanks for the link, the 15x image doesn't seem to be bad apart from some corner softness.
Meanwhile my impression of the periscope camera has improved, though the first 8.6x image/ 200 megapixel image from GSMArena's review looks partly artificial.

I thought it was just an omission for some reviews, but seems it's a trend: the compare photo/video section is gone. Not to mention the display color measurements. It'd be great to have them back, they were very useful.

There is no zooming in here nor there is 200mm focal length equivalence except when you want to talk about framing. There is a huge difference in background compression and perspective when shooting the same distance to subject with 100mm and stepping back and shooting with 200mm. Phone cameras don't offer this property because they just crop in. Same thing applies for 24mm to 48mm, your shot has just been reframed to 48mm without any physical properties of 48mm at given distance.

Does all of this matter? Absolutely not but since everyone is pretending to be some camera buff here you might as well should use the right terminology since phones do not have zoom lenses and can't actually zoom in.

I'm not a pro but when talking of camera the xiaomi 15 ultra still mess up with daylight photos (yellowish/reddish tint, warm and oversaturated output) and this is something I see every other Chinese company coping from Apple (except Huawei doing it better). Samsung did same during the S24 era but got it right with the latest series. And with this tint/saturation, camera output are far from been lively and true to real live scenes. Chinese manufacturers seems to find it fashionable because no one cares, seems to be the standard for today.
