Honestly, these phones look good and are built well. But other than that and software support, DO NOT BUY THIS.

Phone 3a same price? Much better all around

    So if there aren't many upgrades to the a36, would it be better to choose the a56?

        Rename the chipset without any real performance improvements, give insignificant tweak to the design, suck the user with long OS support (they are going to use it 3 years max anyway before something broke like motherboard or display which will cost 2/3 of getting a new one). Ditch features like memory card slot, and price it double. Great! Sold in tens of millions.

        Bumping the charging speed to 45w is the only real improvement.

            They are stuck on an endless side grade policy. New designs to trick us that it's actually improved. Beside the 1580 in the a56 they haven't progressed since the A52s. 4 years of near non existent progress all while raising the prices.

              And oh yeah, Samsung got farrrrrrrrrrr more bloatwares.

                  Samsung:Many updates,but less RAM, less storage, lower SoC, More expensive.

                  Is 6GB+128GB, no sd card a suitable choice for 7 years of use?

                    I'm posting this message from my Samsung phone.

                    But, Samsung is really pathetic now a days. Samsung should change it's business strategy.

                      We all know that's Samsung creating A and M series to get the market share from budget and snatch it from Chinese phones. The strategy is to create mediocre phones thats still "Samsung." They sell brand image boasting durability and security.

                      They knows in term of hardware performance it will not be better to ChiPhones at the same price point. This is the tradeoff we should at least understood.

                      Debating A-M series to Chiphones is wasting of energy, since we all know the answer.

                        4 years later and at a higher price point, A36 is still inferior to A52s, except for build quality. Wake up Samsung!

                              My hypothesis why A55 speaker is louder than A36 (or A56) is due to the thickness. Perhaps the speaker is same but the volume (cubic) is less on A36 causing not enough accoustic (room) to deliver a louder sound.

                                  Same as A34. They gives us marketing trick with new soc, to think newer is better, but dimensity 1080 is basically the same as exynos 1380 and SD 6 gen 3. For 200€ this can pass, but for no more than that.

                                    Samsung is too chiling with their reputation as The Apple of Android. We seriously needs a truly worthy competitor to wake Samsung up.

                                    Chinese phones are good but the stereotypes are holding them back...

                                        The a36 has the older X62 modem, is it better than the Exynos modem in the a56?
