The world has moved on to LC3(192kbps), the shiny new Bluetooth codec, or even better Opus at 192kbps over Bluetooth which is unrivaled by any other codec.

If they had put Snapdragon 7+ gen 3 and ufs 3.0.

Does the phone have aptx lossless? Please test codec support with somethibg like Sennheiser Momentum 4 TWS every time.

RaviSS, 15 hours agoWhen compared to Vivo V30, despite a 20% increase in rated ... moreThe screen resolution also went down 1260p to 1080p which is the biggest battery drainer and still the battery life is like this

vik457, 15 hours agoHow does it compare against other ov50e main cams?Good question. A comparison with the main camera on Poco F6 pro or Poco F7 pro or Poco F7 ultra or even the Xiaomi 14 Civi would be interesting. Gsmarena though never does these type of comparisons. It's a pity they removed the photo compare tool with the studio photos as although it wasn't really in daily life situations it still allowed people to get an idea of the type of image processing and details on the photos.

Eric20, 16 hours agoNot sure about the photo quality. Is it the ISP or Vivo... moreThe colours, especially the greens in the grass and trees, are over-saturated. I like my photos to look like real life.

Eric20, 16 hours agoNot sure about the photo quality. Is it the ISP or Vivo... moreCould be the ISP, could be the sensor itself, could be Vivo's processing. The X200 has the same size sensor as the V50 yet the X200's processing is noticeably better, except the X200's ISP is technically superior and the X200 uses a Sony sensor while the V50 uses an Omnivision one (both are stacked sensors so they're just about the exact same), plus the X200's lens is slightly brighter. My best guess is Vivo's artificially handicapping the processing to make the higher end X200 look better

What shamanry did they perform to avoid throttling? 😲

high time to bump the pricing a little lower OR to bump the chipset up a little. Being inferior to a Galaxy A56 is crazy although still justifiable due to the selfie and UW cam.

Either a telephoto or a faster processor needs to be added ASAP. The display being a little dimmer than the last model is also quite curious

Available already in Thailand...the Zeiss processing for selfie cannot be turned off and give a cartoonish look. And also the picture stays blurred during the processing time which is frustrating.

Lovely phone. I've liked these V series a lot, but their main con is always pricing... They cost waaaay to much.
Pictures are rough though. Awful processing or something, that grass is Galaxy A1X tier.

When compared to Vivo V30, despite a 20% increase in rated battery capacity, the overall endurance is only up by 7.5% (battery runtime for each component is up by 3-9%), that too with a lower display resolution. I wonder what the reasons could be behind the lower than expected (through linear interpolation) endurance?

One possible explanation could be that the software becomes more demanding and requires more tasks to be completed. In this context, I wish GSMA would update the battery life results for the older models, so as an apple-to-apple comparison could be made with their successors.

How does it compare against other ov50e main cams?

I have to say,the equally symmetrical bezels on all four sides is very pleasing to look at, even if it's not impressively thin. Also, the starry night color is super nice. I've had two blue phones before, but none as deep/rich as this.

                              Not impressed by the photos.

is it just me or the main camera takes blurry photos? (specially the grass and leaves)

also, is the frame made of aluminum? It sure looks like so.

Horrible photo processing. Could the device have a defect? If not, then this phone missed the mark.

Eric20, 16 hours agoNot sure about the photo quality. Is it the ISP or Vivo... moreYeah, what's going on there? It looks awful the moment you zoom in.

vivo seems to have fallen into a plateau with the V series. Same chipsets for a couple of generations now, minimal improvements... Idk, the lineup feels a bit stale lately

Too bad there's no 4K 60fps, the SoC allows it
