It is actually available in Egypt as it is also manufactured locally. Price is really bad though although lesser than 13R due to the fact that 13R price gets shafted by customs and taxes..

Even the governments are against you, soon the EU will ask for no ports or something, just you wait.

Asher45, 08 Apr 2025I'm on year 5 of using an a51 5g, it has not been crip... morea relative used a galaxy a50 and it was crippled in 2-3 years. I used a galaxy m31 for a year to a year and a half, im not really sure, but it was pretty dang bad.

Im using a galaxy s22 ultra rn and it was nuked with updates, specifically the s24 ultra one. It was subtle before but the s24 ultra one destroyed it. The same happened with a relative and his s23 ultra, it got slowly but surely nuked with updates and now he has to carry a power bank with him.

We're power users, we use our phones a lot. Normal battery would mean a 10-30% loss of battery life but it's been essentially halved or worse.

Crazy that this costs the same as the s25 in my country and v30 costs the same as well. Make it make sense

Anonymous, 08 Apr 2025Without SD card=no buy Even though this comes up a lot but I think this is an important comment. With Nintendo announcing that Micro SD card express can only be used for the Switch 2 we need phones to return to having Micro SD card express slots. They have faster transfer speeds and can increase storage for 4k and 8k content.

BRING BACK THE SD CARD SLOT!!!

Anonymous, 08 Apr 2025The V50 is exactly the same price as the Samsung A56 in my ... moreIn 2 years any phones price drop to 50% off..i would use phone for 1 year then sell it for 15-20% off and upgrade every 1-2 year.. get better specs but ofc im not going to do this on Samsung since it has such minimal to no upgrades or even some are downgrades.. it's more effective in Chinese phones that has better hardware specs unlike Samsung still uses 2-3 years lagging..(like no telephoto on a56)

YeS, 08 Apr 2025The V50 will be replaced and forgotten in 6 months by Vivo,... moreand you're gonna buy a new midranger a year or two later again cus samsung is gonna slow it down and destroy it with updates.

David 040882, 07 Apr 2025vivo seems to have fallen into a plateau with the V series.... moreThe V50 is exactly the same price as the Samsung A56 in my country. The V50 has better hardware and aesthetics, but my money would go for the A56 simply for its metal build and longer software support.

Hardware is on a level nowadays, that can be elavated and perform really good with optimisations and software. But manufacturers either "handicap" or "improve" to justify higher prices.

The world has moved on to LC3(192kbps), the shiny new Bluetooth codec, or even better Opus at 192kbps over Bluetooth which is unrivaled by any other codec.

vik457, 07 Apr 2025How does it compare against other ov50e main cams?Good question. A comparison with the main camera on Poco F6 pro or Poco F7 pro or Poco F7 ultra or even the Xiaomi 14 Civi would be interesting. Gsmarena though never does these type of comparisons. It's a pity they removed the photo compare tool with the studio photos as although it wasn't really in daily life situations it still allowed people to get an idea of the type of image processing and details on the photos.

Eric20, 07 Apr 2025Not sure about the photo quality. Is it the ISP or Vivo... moreCould be the ISP, could be the sensor itself, could be Vivo's processing. The X200 has the same size sensor as the V50 yet the X200's processing is noticeably better, except the X200's ISP is technically superior and the X200 uses a Sony sensor while the V50 uses an Omnivision one (both are stacked sensors so they're just about the exact same), plus the X200's lens is slightly brighter. My best guess is Vivo's artificially handicapping the processing to make the higher end X200 look better
