People same Omnia HD, or samsung phones in general are copying iphones. Well, lets say in the next gerneration iphone,they have a HD screen, will they be copying samsung? and what if they even get a HD recording camera, arnt they copying everything samsung did? Lol, i mean just think about it. just because samsung has apps, doesnt mean they are copying what iphones are doing.

I dont know why people compare this Samsung phones to other phones when it isnt even out yet. the phones out in displays are beta versions, so lots of stuff still can change, and samsung and iphone are very different, in terms of OS.People think samsung is copying iphone, which in the the marketing world, most phones adapt and improve. anyway, i think samsung tried very hard on this, but i still think they need to improve their touch response.

Ok.1st off u can get the exact same iphone ui and everything on the old regular omnia by a simple theme change.and the omnia is a lot better than iphone.Iphones are overpriced underspecced and just lacks in every section.It just looks good when u work with it.Now with the old omnia owning the iphone...Omnia HD is just another step ahead in screen and camera and specs in general...it has a better display..looks better...allows sharing and even has a lot more storage memory than iphone.now stop comparing them because the iphone has been massacred.There is not a single brand that doesnt have at least one phone that would blow the iphone away easily...sony ericsson idou,omnia HD ,LG arena and nokia N97.dont try to force it.

breeon, 04 Mar 2009lacks performance!!Forget about Samsung. I am a big fan of the Omnia and WM OS. Samsung can call it an Omnia HD. It is not to me. Yeah! Now I can go back to HTC. It will be a Firestone for me.

You're being irrelevant. How can Symbian be better than the OSX when the iphone outperforms any Symbian devices in responsiveness, intuitiveness, and performance?! As for community and developer support, the app store already has over 20,000 apps and still counting, all in one easy and convenient accessibility. Does Symbian have such integration of services as Apple has? NO. The iphone gets more support from developers because developers are compensated for their work through the app store, while most Symbian devices users simply pirates apps=) The LG Prada also utilizes capacitive touch, yet it still has responsiveness issues, so you are wrong in saying that the only reason why the iphone has awesome touch response is because it has a capacitive touch. You asked "why settle for something with lower hardware specs if you can have something better", because performance is more important to a lot of people than features that you end up not using at all, and the iphone still delivers the best performance in what it does =)

Who ever wrote this propbably doesnt know what he/she is talking about. First, iphone is not available to all users / telecoms unless of course you have to hack it. Second, Symbian is better because its got more support from the community and more developers. iphone's code is closed. Third, the only reason why iphone is more "receptive" is because its capacitive, this new omnia HD is capacitive too. Lastly, why settle for something with lower hardware specs if you can have something better. Software wise you can always get an update for it. But you just cant download and update iphone's 2mp cam to name one.

This is an Amazing Phone....iam surely gonna get this or the N97...wen they get lauched...if both prices r same will get the samsung HD for sure...good work samsung...common nokia....do smething

So yes, I can pretty much predict how this phone's UI would perform. It would in a lot of ways act similarly to the older Omnia and Nokia Tube, which is alright, but not of the same level as the iphone's. I am not being anything but truthful. No reason for me to get agitated over this phone. Better resolution does not make a phone better overall. Which Samsung smartphone outsold the iphone? You cannot compare Samsung's overall sales to the iphone, which is what you're trying to do. So what if iphone uses Samsung chips? The iphone utilizes several 3rd party manufacturers for its assembly. What's your point?
Saleswise, there's no need for a debate that samsung sold 20 times more than Iphone. Oh mind you, Iphone is using Samsung Chip.

Mark Peters, 16 Feb 2009No xenon flash, no sale. What a waste.I'd have to agree with Mark.....not putting xenon flash on an 8mp camera is sad.
