1. Call logs - very good

2. Phone book - very good

3. Music Player - Very Good, But Box packed head phone doesn't have navigation keys.

4. Web Browser - (Currently) Not supported many operators.

5. Messages - Average (Limited capacity)

6. File Browser - Good. You can't navigate pictures present in memory card. But works (Navigates) fine with pictures present in phone memory.

7. Calender - Very Good

8. Camera - Average (2MP,No Flash), No Zoom when Full 2MP Mode, Other fecilities like Frames, Panaroma, Mosic, etc., are good. Cannot edit picture, Can't even rotate the picture. Doesn't support HQ Images.

9. FM Radio - Very Good. Recording fecility, Crystal clear recording.

10. Game - Good. Full Version sudoku and jump boy. another 5 trail verision games(not so good)

11. Voice Recorder - Good.

12. Blutooth - Very Good. (OBEX FTP Browser - View files present in other's phone)

13. Utilities - Timer, Stop watch, 5 Alarms, Task, Wrold Clock, Calculator, Convertor. (Good)

14. Memory: Enough built-in memory (45MB)

Phone Configuration:
1. Profiles - 5Builtin Profiles includes Silent and offline.USer Can create own profiles.

2. Brightness Control - 5 Levels (good), Backlight time adjustable.

3. Themes - 3 Built in Themes. User can create own themes in mobiles it self. No Installable themes, Can't set piture present in memory card as wall paper, cannot use mp3 (or other format) present in memory card as rigntones, need to be copied in phone memory (Poor fecility).

4. Font size - 2 size only (small and large). Adjustable dialing display

5. Fast Menu Transition and changable menu transition effects.

6. Key pad light time control, One can configure key pad light on night only, (Saves! good battery life)

7. Language - English only (Poor).

8. Navigation Key Short Cut - Configurable.

9. Security Setting - Privacy Lock (Lock Messages, Files, Call log etc.,). Mobile Tracker 2.0 (Very Good)

10. Network - Really Very Good. (Loud and clear voice, even inside elevators) the first major advantage i relised after trying several models.


Pros: Good network, User friendly, Stylish, Low Price.
Cons: Picture Management, 3G.

      I went to buy Nokia 5130, but after looking at this.....decided to drop 5130. Samsung S3500 looks really good. This is my first sliding phone and I am very happy after using it for last 5 days.
      Postivies : Good looks, sliding, big and nice display, has almost all multimedia functionality like 2MP camera, bluetooth, web browser, alarm, calendar, games etc etc.you can record FM, a very nice feature.
      Negatives : I found less features is customizing my display settings like changing background color, only 3 built-in themes (dont know if i can download new ones). The phone did not recognize a high resolution picture transfered from computer. Very disappointed with this.Downloads from another mobile or internet directly goes to predefined folders (you can choose between mobile or memory card). you cant choose a particular folder.SMS typing is bit complicated and not as easy as in old Samsung mobiles. T9 gives a list of predicted words which you need to select using the 4 way navigation button. You could switch between word using '0' button in other handsets. Battery is not that great....my heavy usage lasted for a day and half.

        I wasn't quite sure what I was buying when I bought this on Saturday, as I didn't see any pictures on the web for it, but am very pleased with it. The display is excellent, the slider is good, and it can hold a 16GB card. It reminds me of Samsung U600, Soul and the G600 all put together. It hold 500 text messages (at last!!) and 50 on your sim. And it is a very fast phone.

          Looks very nice and a good screen too. Features aren't anything to get that excited about, but they would suit most users. I've never been a great fan of Samsung's UI either, but it's simple enough for everyone- and Samsung have finally stopped that annoying feature where pressing the central key on standby opens the browser. Not a phone for me, but for your average phone user, seems fine.

            A very attractive device that only has one omission which will affect its sales: 3G. The reason is that as the markets around the world become saturated with devices and as mobile infrastructure is fully equipped for 3G iner-action consumers may well decide to opt for a device which is not the latest on the market (but still with no prvious owners so just simply last year's device but still available direct from a shop, etc) but that does have 3G. I would suggest that there will be no new quality devices released onto the world market without 3 capabilities by the end of 2010. The ubiquitious internet and arrival of web based services that are accessible from a mobile means that a 2.5G device will not be sought after. Leaving that aside, this device is a genuinely appealing offering.
