Nokia 5630 XpressMusic review: A sharp note

I have a problem with my Nokia 5630 XpressMusic phone when you turn off the phone and then trying to run me around the block number on the screen just remains white picture as a software blocked the whole time so it stands as frozen and I am unavailable for conversation. Please if you can somehow help me how to settle this problem.

I have just started to this phone and still getting used to it. Can anyone tell me whether I can delete or move that icon from the wallpaper (icon with the word ADD under it) beacuse it is ruining the wallpaper. is it possible to hide it please?

i own this phone for 5 months.. and it's the best phone.. i had only one problem with this phone.. i can't send a message, but i can received calls and text.. can you help me guys, on how to fix this problem.. i format my phone but nothings happen.. :((

Can I install GPS apps or at least Ovi Maps 3.0 like the other phone in equal class..? :(
How about Microsoft Office apps? Document Editor, or at least Document Reader?

Lamritz, 07 Mar 2010All i can say is.. this phone is really creepy.. it suddenl... morei have the answer to your problem it happened to me as soon as i updated the firmware its because you need to do a hard reset before you update the firmware *#7370# to hard reset do it 2 times to be safe and then update firmware beware the hard reset deletes everything in ur phone but its the only way to succesfully update ur phone without the crashing and memory full problems you are experiencing

Lamritz, 07 Mar 2010All i can say is.. this phone is really creepy.. it suddenl... moreI had similar problem, as posted on 2010-01-29. First, firmware updated, but no good. Second time, Nokia Care replaced "power supply unit" and updated latest firmware. Since 27Feb2010 to now, its working fine. My observation is that the SIM card lock levers seem to push against the battery --- so bad that the plastic tape on the side of the battery wear off to reveal the metal part. I am not expert but I assume that it could cause short-circuit. I mentioned this to Nokia Care personnel but was ignored.

on wifi conncetions leave connection test to run automatically
to remove apps on this fone go to search type app select application manager and remove stuff installed such as themes etc etc

itz a great fone ---- solutions 2 problms above
1-- theme changes 2 white or blue because of memory usage or removal or insert on usb connect also it does this its normal do not ugrade firmware !!! it is a system theme not displayed its for all nokia sets 3120 klasik n series 5630 5610 all try on another nokia push apply and then the cancel it does the same ----if blue theme then go to themes itll return to default
2-- open memory in usb on pc clear all folders (hidden ones) it makes them believe me memory card --- format will do
then for all contacts use sim memory (if phone then u r wish )
set all programs 2 use memory card such as notes etc ( if 4 gb isnt enough get 8 gb need not be nokia can be scandisk or cheap copy
2) zygen go to themes/ standby/ select basic
3) youtube reboot reinstall flash mobile or lite
4) dont use any other browser except default
5) for wlan go to settings /connections/ destinations delete all w lan and use default browser to select conection u hav to insert password every time but itll be fast ..dont use wizard
6) do not leave wifi scan on or every 5 minutes
7) lots of apps running in background cause freeze quit some
8)v 11 has only flickering screen bug but its only notcable when display sensor full
DONT UPGRADE TO V 12 WITHOUT READING ABOUT IT YET

All i can say is.. this phone is really creepy.. it suddenly hangs, turns off, has this "standby theme error" tingy going on, also the dreaded memory full error and my phone memory and memory card has so much free space!!!!! then another creepything is the theme suddenly changes sometimes, my 5630 is the silver color on the sides color (not the red or teal or whatever) the theme changes to a sky blue theme that doesn't exist in the phone, sometimes i can't open applications while in this "sky blue wierd theme"
I bought this phone at around last week of October 2009.. then around mid November 2009 it started to do al those problems.... i sent it to Nokia Care in our lcal city.. then i got it back by the end of November. Then it stared acting up again, so i sent it to Nokia Care complaining with the same problems. They told me they have to send it to their Nokia Care Head Office for a swap board.. so i waited almost a month. I got it back by first week of January 2010, the phone worked great for 1 month, no errors, no hangs. I noticed they updated the firmware to 013.009 version that wasn't officially released yet (i think.BUT... when February 2010 came.. it started to do all the same errors again.. and worse.. when i tried my camera it hanged and auto-restarts.... i sent it to nokia care again and they reformated it then after i got my hands on it and turned it on as i walked away from nokia care.. it hanged and restarted again.. so there i go back to Nokia Care again.. they sent it to their Head Office again then got it back after a week i think.. and sill it has the same stuff.. i didn't bother to send it to Nokia Care again coz i think Nokia hasn't found a solution for the problems this unit has...
Well.. That's my story.. i'm just txting and calling on the hpone.. not using the Camera, FM Radio, Removed Memory Card, No Music, etc.. just txting and calling.. and it still hangs sometimes and all those errors.. i'm lucky it seldom does the sky blue theme stuff anymore...
NOKIA.. This is a scary phone (-__-)\
I hope they come up with a stable firmware for this phone...

I have this phone , for those concerned with phone OS rebooting while using your music player or other minor problems.Update your phone's firmware by typing in *#0000# , then you will be prompted with a menu on your phone , just go to options on that page , and update firmware using any kind of internet connection dosent matter if its WiFi or Wap or whatever.
My conclusion :
-Symbian OS (wich is very good on a small phone)
-Very fast processor , wich helps you navigate trough apps quicker and with no delay
-Up to 16gb memory card supported
-The sound output from the 3mm jack is Incredible , I jacked in my Sennheiser HD555 and was stunned.
-Comes with pretty decent headset and 4gb memory card + usb cable
-Its very light 80+ grams
-Speakers are decent and have a good sound output using certain music players/video players but also with the default one.
-The usb cable is very handy , you can jack the phone to your DVD player or other type of player and watch on your TV... movies /recorded videos / pictures or listen to music from your phone.
-Bad part , I didnt find secondary camera shoot button except for the one on the side of the phone , wich is pretty hard to take self-pictures with , and from what I know you cant turn off the camera sound.
-It takes good pictures and it has a powerfull double-flash with auto-focus.
-The materials used have a good feel , and it has decent buttons , making it hard to press 2 buttons at a time while using them.
-Handles the internet pretty fast even with WAP
-The screen could have been bigger a bit , but its alright anyway.
-Good standby
I would say its a very good choice , since its not too expensive and has everything that someone would use.Go 4 It
Recommended apps : - Blacklist / Spam Killer ..both for blocking unwanted calls or text messages (SMS).And an anti-virus / GPS if needed.
