And Andrew Tan is far left behind too. It's his first time to hear xenon flash that performs poorly in a mobile phone.
Andrew Tan says "Nokia is for human that not intend to try something new"
Well that line of Andrew Tan is something NEW

Yeah Andrew Tan, you are right! Nokia is far left behind in terms of screwing people. That is dominated by other phone manufacturer
Try to read the review of g800, g810, lg viewty, you'll find out how disappointing their xenon flash is.
Pixon12's 28mm wide angle lens which is actually not..its 30mm
Just compare Iphone 3gs TFT capacitive screen sunlight legibility to other phones with capacitive, amoled, 16M colors display at the same time.

Fredmode, 21 Aug 2009I've bought this phone 199€ (unbranded and 70€ cheaper than... morethat's right..
iphone is only a one time success ... fashion...
apple need to pull another string to stay afloat.
their 1 phone to rule them all breath is almost over...
there's nothing special about iphone.
there's no secret sauce / formula... is just fashion...
whereas,... in 5530... price is the secret formula...
this is the phone that will rule them most...

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2009Nokia is still the number one and the worthy one in all asp... moreXenon flash perform poorly under low light condition? Ops! my goodness! 1st time I heard this!
AMOLED suffer below sunlight? TFT also!
28mm actually is 30mm? Nokia calculation also won't be true everytime.
Capacitive screen & high CPU but lagging interface? Come on, interface lagging or not doesn't related to whether it is capacitive or resistive!
Don't be like what Chinese always said "You can't taste the grape does not means it is sour"

I've bought this phone 199€ (unbranded and 70€ cheaper than nokia.fr !!) one week ago, and I've to say that's a real bargain.
It's fast, touchscreen is bright and really responsive, its size is just perfect to fit every pocket. Pics and video are not the best, obviously because it's not a 8 or 12Mpix photophone !
Download Opera Mini if you want a faster non 3G internet.
My workmate owning an iPhone 3GS is kinda disgusted that my 'cheap' Nokia has a better screen resolution than his expensive gadg.. erhm, iPhone.. ;-p
Good phone. Nice price. Try it before talking. Enough said.

David, 20 Aug 2009Nokia makes phones that give people value for their money. ... moreDavid I'm with you.I don't know why do people chase for iphone when it lacks so many essential features.Even it's successor 3GS is not up to date.Even 5530 can beat iphone 3GS in many areas.See yourself the advantages of 5530 over iphone 3GS.You will come know how useless the over hyped iphone 3GS is-

Nokia is still the number one and the worthy one in all aspects.
Marketing gimmick is left for other phone manufacturers to screw people.
28mm which is actually 30mm one, xenon flash which performs poorly at low light conditions, amoled display,16M colors but suffers sunlight legibility, capacitative screen and fast processor but lagging user interface, Scratch-resistant surface but prone to scratches..too many to mention..

to all that things that the price of 5800 and 5530 were only a couple of dollar different:....
it's natural to have this pricing since 5530 is just launched. if you can see the big picture... in 1-3-6 months the price different will be even bigger, that's when 5530 really serve the intended price market.
if you think that 5800 better, than 5530 is not for you.
And FYI, most of the cell phone that were sold were in 5530 price range.

jay, 20 Aug 2009it's not a rubbish phone.. it's actually a budget touchscre... moreThe specs are awful, with the price of a 5800 dropping all the time you might as well buy that rather than waste your money on this one.
Come to think of it why waste your money on either. Both are poor, this one's the worst of the two, at least you get the GPS & 3G capabilities on the other one.

This device's existence is puzzling just like the Nokia E63. Why would anyone buy this when they could get for not much more outlay a far better equipped and built device by going up in the range (5800, E71)?

Please can someone confirm: does this device record in VGA @ 30FPS as this site say, or CIF @ 15FPS as the official Nokia site says?
