those videos are nothing but impressive...thats a huge milestone...this is HD CAMERA not a phone!

I thnk LG viewty is much more nicer in terms of video recording coz....it captures 120fps in qvga resolution ang captures 30 fps in vga rsolution the only probbb...in Lg their camera performance is prone to noise...especially when you change the Iso in to 800.....thaats ol but good fone

well its another amazing phone. no doubt no uk release. why o why. do the uk get shafted. please please samsung release this in the uk.

In June2009 there were rumors of Samsung 12mp 3xoptical zoom phone. The same time it came to light that Nokia is also working on their 12mp snapper and that probably will sport optical zoom too.

So it's quite wring to think that Samsung had to jump in above Nokia. It's quite the opposite. It's Nokia who had to follow others on this.

I didn't hear anything about Nokia working on their 3x12mp then. After 12mp it's natural that manufacturers will focus on adding more to it without increasing the pixel count. The megapixel race will stop at 15. Optical zoom..HD video capability are in right direction. In fact Samsung is setting the standard way too high for others to catch up.

This phone is definitely a revolution!!!! Its about time we have a proper camera with real zoom on a phone!! This kicks the majority of the manufacturers at the moment. Im an SE fan and this phone was meant for me! Cant wait!

Holy Sh. . . This Phone means Insanity. Well Beyond my expectations. 12MP and a 3x Optical Zoom. Look at those Huge lens. Great Job Samsung. But im sure this phone is not less than a Thousand Dollars. . . and Probably the Battery Life won't last long. .

Samsung were worried about the rumours on the websites that Nokia were working on a 12mega-pixel camera mobile with optical zoom,so had to jump in above Nokia to show they will compete with any mobile being released,one thing that Samsung have got to do is get the battery sorted on there camera mobiles, as the i8510 an Tocco Ultra wouldn"t last a day so continously charging an made these mobile very expensive to run,so hope this ones not the same

I like this, it's about time someone attempted optical zoom again on cameraphones. I do think though that we're still some way off from having a perfect all in one device. I think with 12mp lenses, manufacturers are veering off in a different direction from the smartphone brand. I won't be getting this, as it's probably expensive and what I consider "overkill"

Based on the preview review, it's actually a camera that had room for the phone parts so it's a camera with a phone instead of a phone with a camera (which most phone cameras are).
The picture quality should be good since the primary purposes is photography while the secondary purposes is telephony!
Let's hope the globalized version updated the Korean version's quirks.
Let's good (even though Samsung isn't known for good digital cameras)!
