the samsung hd is so expensive and it is a year old. vivaz is cheaper and new. if i am samsung, i would drop the price down lots. who wants to buy a old expensive big phone, when you have vivaz (and nokia x6) coming out.
i am stuck between vivaz and x6 16gb. help!

I’m on business in Dubai now, and I plan on buying this here from a retailer called Axiom. This phone’s HD capabilities will probably get me to retire my handycam.

Great phone! i agree its better than the omnia HD although i wish it came Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. Dont want a LCD restitive screen =/.... hence im gona skip and and buy a Samsung wave instead :).

Take the Vivaz! (Pro). Perfect for music, camera and a bit of browsing and email. Still packed in good size device :)
I'm waiting for the pro version, I think I like a physical keyboard better than the onscreen. I hope it will come soon as well! (but I'm still satisfied with my W995 :)

Which one shuold i buy Vivaz or Nokia X6 16Gb?
I only had Nokias in my life :-). Today I own a nokia E51
I browse a lote home with WiFi and take pictures and videos + watch youtube...These are the things I apriciate...The most important for me is the browser and the image quality of video and pictures...

my 1st fone was nokiA bt lets face it nokia took its tym 2 giv us a fone wit a decent camera dats where samsung gained its market share.bt just add reliable,smart,quality pics,better browser n etc chaces r ul cum up wit sony ericsson.

first of all, I decided to order that phone because of objective review on GSM arena. I was also considering Nokia x6 23 GB, but it somehow got worse opinion.
and I am with SE already for 6 years.
although I do not give a damn about HD videos or camera "pixelity" teh Se phones were ALWAYS delivereing me a good sound and lost of capacity to store my music.
yeah, Nokia has now 32 GB, but...16th is pretty much what I really need. On current W960I I have 8 GB and store 110 full albums. Besides, the earphones of SE are great, i can hear the music and NOTHING else.
However I couldn't figure out whether Vivaz HAS the Walkman player, but it was mentioned somewhere it does, so it makes it all for me.
I am used to SE, so I woudl be rather disappointing if I need to switch to other brand. Well, to be true all those Asian thingys...they do not work for me.
Although my close friend uses HTC HD2, and is happy I found it too much complicated with teh soft and "go-arounds" with features.
Simplicity, durability and....MUSIC!

i remember how revolutionary it was on a200 SE platform and now it's the BEST achievement in mobile phone gaming yet.

People have really jumped on the android bandwagon, yet it is still rather poor. Touch screen accuracy is terrible on all android phones, 3G intermittently cuts in and out, prone to crashes and really doesn't have anything special about it, unless you a developer and know how to write code. Symbian is far more stable, well known and larger seller so it makes sense for SE to do this. Symbian also supports 720p something I don't think android does yet. WM is terrible and companies are ditching it until 7 comes out (smart move, though 7 looks promising). I agree Symbian doesn't have the best UI, is a bit slow, but it's still more reliable than SE other options.

I like this one, good looks and for my use cases the OS does not make that big a difference. Android being touted so much is a bit like Obama getting the Nobel prize, I like em both but still have loads to prove.
But reviewers, come on, comparing even the best phone camera to any slightly decent point-and-shoot is a joke, considering phones' lack of good optics, light sensors and (in most cases and unfortunately for Vivaz too) the absence of a Xe flash. LED "flash"? Please...

AHH Comeon! Symbian??? again??? are you kidding me??? why the heck in the world a company like SE would want to stick with a stinky os such symbian so hard?? what's the matter with android?? or WM?? symbian is dead. i was so excited by the specs of the phone till i found out that the os is symbian and that's **** up!!!i really hate symbian but i think i'm gonna go for this phone for the HD video recording Feature , but i think untill SE releases this phone there would be a lots of other Hd recording phones available , cause SE release it's phones so late that other brands get a head of it. at least till now it was like this. i hope SE Consider a Faster act this time or this phone would be a fossil the day it releases.

I am surprise you have not shown the "Augmented Reality" application of the Vivaz. Another first from the house of SE. Samsung and Nokia must be soon to follow with there cheaper "Me-too" versions of it.

I think symbian is the best operating system. I only buy this phone couse it got symbian and there is no other good touchscreen phone whats got symbian (except Omnia HD, but its Samsung...).
