05 March 2010
Mini is the John Smith of names in mobile phones these days. All makers in the Big Five are keen to have a diminutive version of a popular handset but if there is one to be the definitive repack, it would be the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 mini...

cool little phone, but not getting the hype it deserves. Of course if this was the new iphone they would be drooling over it. Iphone sucks!! Dont give in to the gimmick!!

"There is nothing out of the ordinary but what makes the mini special is the QVGA resolution which debuts on Android."

Wrong. HTC Tattoo, which came before this phone also had a QVGA resolution display and was running Android.

Wish this had a capacitive friendly stylus with good handwriting recognition then i wouldn't need the keyboard version.

I think another important question to ask is whether this phone would be compatible with existing apps at the android app market since it only sports a QVGA display.
If you think you will be satisfies with just the preloaded apps, then you've got youaelf a good deal.

I love mini. But , sadly 2.55 inch touch screen is a pain!

Loved the phone, and I'm not an SE fan, I don't really need any more than it offers but i just hope it comes with a price tag that is mini as well, since in Brazil SE doesn't practice prices that are reasonable with what the phone offers

16mm is not thick..... It looks thick because its compact height and width makes 16mm seem bigger.

Throw on a keyboard, and that will cover X10 mini's only flaw. X10 mini Pro!!!!

Mistake, HTC Tattoo also had QVGA resolution so this isn't that first android phone to have the resolution. Anyways I think the problem with the X10 mini is the difficulty to type on screen and the prob is solved by the mini pro.

I'm sorry but can you please release the original X10 first before going mini? Sony Ericsson is totally screwing up the proper order of releases.

Seeing this little brick first makes me loose interest and get tired of the unreleased original one.

This is why SE is losing money, they have a couple of donkeys in the marketing department.
