worst phone, it maybe called a Dual SIM-phony but no dual standby feature.. tsk!! poor.. If i'll be using a dual sim handset I want both simcard to be active. What's the use of the other simcard if you can't have it both active? The price is good but features aren't.

Is it a joke or what. One sim active at the same time? Ridiculous phone by Nokia again. Samsung is offering quite wide aassortment of nice DOUZ terminals with really good working two sim work at the same time. Nokia is going to collapce on most market segments - no good smartphones so far, Symbian drawbacks in most their phones can't compete to android/iphone, cheaper quality of many their products.

This is an instant fail.
If I buy a dual sim phone I expect both simcards to work simultaneously. And the fact that it isn't tri-band is a big miss !
Then again if you really want something totally basic/cheap, you are not a traveller and don't mind switching simcards in the menu every so often it could be a good buy !

Nothing interesting, 01 Oct 2010I wonder why Nokia didn't decided to isue something like E5... moreNokia's biggest customers are telcos, who would rather not make it easy for you to use a competitor's sim. I believe this phone is intended for poorer countries where not all can afford even a basic phone, but they may have a sim card. So, such persons can mount the sim in their friend's phone and borrow the phone to make calls from their own sim when they need to.

This would make an excellent 'gap year' phone for people off to see the world.
As 95% of usage will be outgoing so swapping between the 2 sims is not much of an issue, so you can have one international sim and one local.
As it's cheap it wont be the end of the world if you get drunk one night and leave it in a bar and your much less likely to get mugged than if your wandering around some strange city with an expensive smartphone in your hand.
The flashlight is a handy feature for travelers.
But probably the most important thing is the excellent standby and talk time.
The only slight disadvantage is it's not tri-band which would have cost Nokia minimal cost but made this phone a true international backpackers mobile.

@GSM ARENA
Its good that you have corrected a mistake in your review about the series of this phone. But why you people have deleted my comment. Its not a shame in accepting these little mistakes.
