ok guys i have seen alot of other reviews of nokia n8 camera n they have critisized it a bit n it is not as good as it is.
i have been following gsmarena for a long time n i have seen that gsmarena has created so much hype for the nokia n8.
have u guys ever thought that what if the results they have shown are totally incorrect??????? its very easy for sites to promote some companies mobiles n dont u think that the companies themselves have inside on these sites???????? i think gsmarena always is a biased site n specially in favour of apple, nokia.
i am not a nokia hater but the reviews of nokia n8 camera result i saw on other sites.....makes me think what if gsmarena is lying??????

First of all, I would like to thank gsmarena for the clar... moreA possible explanation for the peculiar discrepanies between GSMArena shootout and N8 camera tests on other sites is that PROBABLY, GSMArean chose optimal (manual) setting for the N8, while in the other tests (e.g. Eldar Murtazin test, Engadget etc) they have used default automatic mode. I may be wrong, this is just my personal speculation.
So, I am waiting for the extensive full review on GSMArena and hope that they will describe the used methods in full detail.
Anyways, one thing is absolutely clear: The N8 has a HUGE potential and is capable of doing terrific fotos. Now just imagine, what the N8 could do when its full potential is unleashed (e.g. the lower compression rate used by the new ROM). I think that we will see some incremental improvements of the camera software withuint he next few months which will even further increase the distance between the N8 and all the other cameraphones.
If the GSMArena test turns out to be fair and legit, the Mr. Murtazin and the Engadget boys can eat their hats.

Wtf? N8 cant beat Sony HX5. HX5 has 10x optical zoom and N8 doesnt even have optical zoom. But N8 canbe called best camera phone.

I'm surprised C was N8. C was clearly the best shot so i gave C= Sony and A=N8 (clearly B is no good)

Wow! I did not expect N8 to be C. For me, C was the clear winner in 5 from 7 rows, especially the high detail at lower light is just amazing.
With the N8 making such incredible pictures I don't need my bulky 5MP Canon Powershot digicam anymore.
N8, I am coming! Adios Amigos, Canon Powershot.
Actually today is the day when mobile phone cameras have officially taken the crown in the compact camera class.

First of all, I would like to thank gsmarena for the clarifications they have made about not including the satio. Although, I still think they way prefer samsung on se handsets, but giving us a reasonable explanation at least tell us what they have in mind. So, it feels better now.
Regarding the photos! Wow just wow, I seriously can't believe yet that the N8 was better than the Sony digi camera! Although I must say that they digi camera will eat the n8 when it comes to low light conditions and also zooming, however, since the n8 appeared to be better in the photos that gsmarena shared with us, this alone makes me raise the hats for N8.
Brilliant phone indeed, and I can conclude safely that it's the best camera phone in the market today, still what makes me confused is that in other reviews the n8 was not that good at all! So it's kind of awkward.
Cheers!

GSM Arena, you should have done an actual poll, whereby we have to answer three separate questions (what did you like most, what did you like second most, what did you like the least). That way we would all have to answer all 3 questions and you could get very good results.

Damian Dinning is the man behind that camera, It means that this guy really knows about photography, giving the fact that we see more details that noise reduction in the Nokia N8, and never forget, The N8 has a photo editing software, and the idea of a mobile photo shop have won and we never know what that application will be! It will be so nice to do some editing from the phone, this is really a great idea and a phone, Don't tell me symbian isn't a nice OS, You all don't remember when Nokia 3650 First appears, It was amazing, and OMG this phone can have apps in, then Nokia made the mistake when they did the licensing thing and it's harder to have more applications, although in the past when Nokia 3650 and others introduce, there was not one, but many even hundreds of application that were not really useful just for fun, now Symbian ^3 is again Open Source and it's a lot easier even than before to make apps for the nokia N8, I'm Pretty sure You'll see a lot of apps for the N8, Even If I don't need that much, People seem to just the like the apps, ;) At the end, all the companies are releasing high end and nice phones, but the fact that they have some limits while the Nokia N8 have broke the limit in these : HDMI, 12MP AMAZING CAMERA AND USB FLASH DRIVE SUPPORT. This is really a great phone, Little 320GHz doesn't matter, To really compare, A Mac OS acts faster with the same processor and computer, and I agree that Mac OS is great, but in Mobile phones, .... Nothing! Until someone really breaks the limit, Although I have a feeling the Nokia Meego device, is going to be really powerful but expensive!
Again don't forget the Nokia N8 is getting a new browser but we have to wait, GSMArena should state that in the review! QT Browser will be much better than current browser, Unless it's worse, ;) We never know the future!
