Maybe they didn't make it to be flash video recording, to prevent porn being recorded under a blanket with no light. Haha, anyways I think the N8 is great!!!

Amitmishra2u, 19 Mar 2011Hi Everybody, I think really N8 is with the best camera qua... morethere is no flash in the video mode, because the N8 has a xenon flash, and the xenon flash couldnt be turned on for more than moments or it will be defected. the N96 has a led flash where you can use it in the video mode :)

I have the Samsung Pixon 12 and the Nokia N8. The Samsung takes a LOT better pictures than the N8. They are so much clearer, much better for motion, and no where nearly compressed as much as the Nokia. I'm actually keeping my Pixon12 as a secondary camera. I'd be going back to using the Samsung but it doesn't have threaded messaging and only holds so many text messages. Extremely annoying.

Hi Everybody, I think really N8 is with the best camera quality. But I am facing a problem with it. The flash donot work for Video recording or can say I can't start Flash while doing Video recording. I am really very disappointed by this, as I am using Nokia N96 as well & its flash can be started & stopped when ever you want, but can't find any such option in N8. Please help me.

Anonymous, 26 Feb 2011The flash light of the N8 GOT PROBLEM when u taken a photo.... moreOuch....are you an ip fan? why sooo noob? everybody knows to measure phone diagonally and both N8 and ip have 3.5inch screen except N8 is in eyes comfort format for video viewing which is 16:9 and ip is out of scale,so looks fat LOL. I've tried it out but it doesn't have such problems of flash in taking pictures, do you even own the N8? or you are just saying your silly thoughts from your noobie imagination actually it is a problem of ip4? ip4 camera is known as over-saturated,weak flash,blur(when you take moving fan), no face detection,no dedicated key for camrea etc etc...many problems.

That's all,for me,I'd say go for N8 with best camera,fluid UI,apps,more flexible user-experience,better battery life,can accept every video files. Moreover,it is compact too..

The flash light of the N8 GOT PROBLEM when u taken a photo.Pls note tht the image will be out of focus but not the object because of the flash.IF u off it,the image will be clear.Do u know tht?Pls try it!Anyone who got this problem,pls share v me,thks!
2.Are u sure this nokia n8 got 3.5'screen wide??or less then?pls compare v iphone then u will know!

Nokia N8 camera is really amazing. Every detail is there, while the colors look natural. Yes you CAN compare 10MP with 12MP since the pixel is not the real issue, but the optical quality IS. Higher megapixels do not always mean better images.

I can hardly believe that the N8 won against the Sony camera, but just compare the N8 with a Canon! :D
