Wow. 4.3" is heading towards a Streak-sized screen, but in a decidedly slim smartphone package.
For me, that screen is just too big for a phone - it doesn't seem pocketable, really. Still, if I had a holster or kept it in a bag compartment it might be OK.

buying this phone is like owning a formula 1 ferrari and driving it in heavy traffic, all the horse power that gets you nowhere. why must the battery be 1200mah? i felt betrayed.

uh... not sure why the Desire HD's specs are being compared to the WP7 phones. The Desire HD might be 1ghz, but it's using a newer snapdragon with a way more powerful GPU (on par with the Galaxy S), has way more ram, bigger camera and more internal storage - it's not comparable to the WP7 phones at all.
Specs of the WP7 phones are more like the HTC HD2 that came out last year. If you're gonna compare with WP7 phones in terms of spec, you might as well whip out a HD2 for comparison too!

What happened to the dB testing that usually comes with reviews?

The review is missing page 4. I don't recommend the X10 or N8, as the former doesn't get updates often and the latter is severely underpowered.

My friends!
Please hear my words...
This phone is nice, but Android 3 is close at hand.
As you know, Android 3 minimum Ram is 512, so there are phones coming which will have more than 512 of Ram in it.
The battery life in todays Androids will last 1-2 days, if you turn-off all of the backround updates/bluetooths/apps/etc...
Desire Hd has a poor battery life because of the screen.
1200mha was a bad choice.
1500mha would have been a step for glory.
My new phone will be either HTC or Samsung Android.
Htc gets updates faster.
Samsung has better battery.
Android 3 will surface early 2011 in someway.
Be patient my friends...
Be patient...
With respect

had desire hd for a couple of weeks and would like to point a few things out. first of all the phone is amazing but like all things in lifes its not perfect.
1, battery life at the start was poor but once you have stopped playing around with it and showing it off its good for a few days. i use my phone for business and get nearly 2 full days on a charge.
2, txting with one hand can be very hard due to the screen size its a little stretch from one side of the keypad to the other.
3, loudspeaker is pants! both for calls and music so dont bother using it!
4, headset/headphones included are rubbish, not like the cool in ear micro buds that come with sony ericsson phones so invest in a good pair if you wanna listen to music/radio/watch a movie.
Any other questions just post and i will get back to you asap.
