LG Optimus 2X first encounter: How fast is Tegra 2?

LG Optimus 2X will be recorded in history as the first dual-core phone but I'm afraid the spotlight will be taken by Samsusng GalaxySII, Apple Iphone5 and Motorola Atrix. Possibly LG's own Optimus 3D will match up with the other phones but hmm who knows?
Android is natively multi-core cable, you can see that by looking a the Pi results. As with windows the application has to be programmed to be multi-thread.
The second area is the file system. Most older handsets use YAFF with is single threaded in so far as each write is a file system wide lock. Nexus S with Gingerbread uses EXT4, which I guess will be the same for Honeycomb.
3.0 adds multi-thread support for native apps like the browser and launcher.
The real important question with all Tegra 2 systems is, what is the battery life like. We know that the Tegra 2 can't gate off the second un-used core like, meaning the standby battery drain might be quite bad, as witnessed in the Moto Atrix spec on this very site.
How can it be a design copy? How else are you mean to design a touch screen phone?
They are ALL going to be roughly the same size.

sensitiveness of screen in this Lg is weak.They should resign from two core processor on favor of better screen! But marketing is wining again.Now kids have another tool and prove that android is better than symbian! :) LOL

I guess, even if they release honeycomb next month its still wont be able to utilize the utmost performance of the dual core.
I better wait when android can fully utilize it.
Perhaps there will be much better looking phones by then. This design is kinda boring.
I mean let's face it- most people buy new phones for the performance-specs and design too. Its a package.
The first kind always not perfect.
Wait few month and get a better porduct than this.
Like samsung galaxy s 2.

If you're an Android App developer.... Would you program for the TWO dual core platforms? OR the 50 bajillion 1ghz phones?
I think I would rather sell to the mass market. Like the review says, dual core phones is an investment for the future... but i'd rather wait for the next gen dual core when Google's official phone has it!

if u have such a smartphone like optimus 2x so i will not look at the battery life.iphne has jus 5 hrs of tlktme 2x has 7 hrs.It is bettrr thn iphne n galaxy s2.

Phones are getting to technical. I am a current user of iPhone 4 and Desire.. But now we want frame rates etc like my Alienware PC? Too much man. Try make the phones cooler and better looking.
The nokia scirocco, I wish there was new version of tha kind of phone instead of this geek festt..

Galaxy S is limited at a 56 fps refresh rate. It will definately come close to the tegra 2 in neocore. There is a benchmark on youtube where the LG does 250fps, Galaxy S 56fps.

Would love to buy it but i have galaxy s and i am in love.
ps. Quadrant standard proves nothing , as long you mobile feels smooth score barely maters as it's easily manipulated by rom,kernel etc.

Why use a galaxy S for each and every comparison when the clear benchmark so far is nexus one froyo? Just look at your OWN graphs.
