I'm pretty sure the engineers in Nokia knows too that 600 MHz isn't enough for lag free user experience even if the OS is highly optimized.
They did invest quite a bit on Symbian, Maemo, and Meego, but it's only my guess...

As a matter of fact, that is the reason why Nokia doesn't deal with androids and won't partnership with them. Nokia will not let an overhyped android OS ruin their great battery life legacy. Android is an overrated battery hogging OS. Yes their are ways that you can tweak your android to where the battery life can last long, but you shouldn't have to make adjustments and cripple your smartphone's capabilities just for your phone to last long.
With a nokia, all you have to do is charge your phone out of the box and you're ready to go.

must say - the new Anna OS is not that spectacular... shame, it's a pity.

Wow, they improved the Symbian interface? FINALLY. More pixel density and clarity than iPhone 4. That's a pretty neat little spec. It's probably because of the screen size. The images will be crisp. I've also heard this supports USB on the go. So you can plug your pendrive in and the phone will recognize it.

hey gsmarena peeps, dont be too excited when u get a new phone to review that it affects your initial impression. no doubt it has good build quality but nobody will mistake it for unibody design, and in no way is it anywhere in the same class with the e71/72 in terms of looks.
not to mentioned that you stated the keyboard is the same as those on the e5 and c3. are you kidding? the keypad on the c3 sucks so much compared to the e5. keys are stiff and definitely not a joy to use. soemtimes i wonder if you review the keypad just based on looks...

I've been looking for something like this for some time now. The Samsung Galaxy Pro was on my list but this might change my mind. I'm not spending 450 euros on it though. 350-400 is the right price range but then again this being nokia it will probably cost around 450-500...

A problem that other stores share of course but it is more obvious with Symbian now. I have been using Symbian phones for many years (since the 6630) and now have two (E72 and 6220 Classic). They have their strenghts but lately there are less and less GOOD commercial apps for them.
Even great indie developers of tools like vHome and others are now giving up on the platform. It is for instance impossible to find good audio players (that are not overpriced like LCG Jukebox or PowerMP3), a proper RSS reader that does not crash as Resco News does, and so on.
But regarding the E6, I would love to have it, but it has two main flaws
1) It arrives very late to the party. Should have been available a year ago, around the time the E72 came out
2) It has no autofocus, which is pretty bad for such a camera on a business phone that is often used to scan documents or papers that are close.
At least Nokia learned some things and didn't ship it with the pathetic 128 MB RAM like on the E72.

A fine phone but arriving too late. Nokia completely lost the race.
This seems to be the phone I wanted 1 year ago when I bought my E72, it would have been a winner back then, but now it is just to late to pay 450€ (After taxes) for such a phone.
I still find my E72 useful, but anyone wise will now have to buy Android, unfortunately, the Symbian world is at a dead-end and every day I notice less and less apps available.

I would like to see some demos of Symbian 3 apps running on E6. Since there is a change in resolution, how will apps and games which runs on 640x360, appears on this new screen (640x480).

looks promising.
I'm getting tired with all those full-touch-phone-with-no-keypad.
I don't like them, i prefer a real physical keypad, and (thanks God) Nokia answer it with E6.
but, i hope they do something with the camera lens. we need autofocus, not fixed-focus lens...
