Also, is the battery life of this phone considered good/acceptable? how many hrs/days(ambitious?) could it last without recharging but with normal usage like texting, occasional net surfing..?

This might make a nice little portable hotspot device with occasional phone functionality. The slow cpu is actually a good thing if all u care about is battery life. Can anyone comment on battery life with 3G and hotspot on all day?

yes, Cpu has a lot to do with Phone speed but also depend on each developer to utilize the best out of their device.
I remember Iphone classic has low cpu but still able to play Angry Bird very smoothly. By the way, SS ace has the same cpu as wildfire S but they overclocked to get better speed which result in unstable performance and battery eaters.

surely a superb phone ..at entry level i bought is 3days back for 13700 from delhi...but sorry no white color for india atpresent but black looks cute too...really responding well >24hrs backup without wifi...but still all applications are cool...what else you want...camera issue is there no hot key for camera...little delicate...if you want to take a snap of yourself then u must need a mirror...rest nice phone...

Smaller display at 3.2 inches. N8's is 3.5 inches.
No secondary internal storage. N8 has 16GB.
No FM transmitter.
No HDMI. Only SD TV-out through the 3.5mm jack.
No Active noise cancellation
C6-01 is a good phone and has one of the best displays among phones, clearblack, but it's not a high-end phone. It should be compared with wildfire S and galaxy ace.
