I had a Sensation before Galaxy S2. Sense 3.0 is laggy, even with custom rom still not as fast as stock Galaxy S2. I can get things done quicker with TouchWiz 4. Battery life is pretty poor and camera isn't as good as my Galaxy S2. Very happy with SGS2. It gets high ratings everywhere.

First I bought the SGS2 based merely on specs. It was quick but touch wiz and the heat made it unbearable. Thanks to netonnets excellent service I could replace it with HTC Sensation and now I'm a happy camper. HTC Sense 3.0 is really a big improvement and the build quality is vastly superior to the SGS2. Furthermore a big warning for Samsung's Kies Air which effectively stops you from sharing your music just like ITunes...

LCD can't display all colors, but Super AMOLED can.

This is an excellent information provided by GSM arena. I am a great fan of this site and have been using for many years. Fantastic effort of putting these test so methodically. Would like similar test for the Iphone 4 as well. Thank you GSM arena team

It's very surprising to me that the reviewer described the HTC camera as "good". Gaaaak, it's shockingly bad! Perhaps it's a comparison to the awful camera quality we've seen so far in most phones but as an amateur photographer I think it's unusable. There is a huge amount of noise and blurryness caused by noise reduction and the colours are clearly very over saturated. The iPhone 3GS, 4 and in this case the SG2S and LG show that phone cameras don't have to suck. I would avoid the HTC for this reason alone. I'd rather have a low-noise 3 or 4MP camera than a very noisy 8MP. Honestly, we need some higher standards as far as mobile phone cameras are concerned.

If only the SGS2 had a better casing (I am talking about the unibody desgins on the HTC nowadays), and the build quality were to be better than the plastics that they use on almost all their phones, I would go for it even if I would have to throw in some more cash.
What's the point having a great Hardware Specification if the case that you put it in doesn't feel and hold solid.
To all others bragging about Apple & HTC, you may as well keep shut up. SGS2 is actually a winner, even if it is a power-hungry device. You are supposed to sleep for 9hrs normally. Why do you want to use a phone without charging it for more than 1 day. Isn't 10-15hrs enough?

PS: to all who might be thinking of buying one of these devices, I would still recommend the SGS2. This thing is as beautiful as it sounds & performs on those tests. Enjoy the Super Amoled displays. Stop buying these stupid LCD's. Reminds me of the ancient times of smartphone-age. This is Super-Phone age fellas!!!

HTC is good than Galaxy S II. Check the camera. And galaxy s 2 is made of plastic compare to HTC its aluminium.

SG2 is a very impressive piece of hardware but the Samsung User Interface is garbage.

HTC has nice build quality and has the best UI out of the 3 by a long, long way... the LG is least powerful but plenty powerful enough for what any of you are likely to want to do with it and is a reasonable price.
For my money I'll go with the HTC due to the build quality and the fact the UI is where i will get most of my joy from a phone.

No doubt the Samsung is a mighty piece of hardware though (although every Samsung i ever owned broke so vowed to never buy another one)

I’ve had this phone since the day before launch, and all I can say is that this Article is misleading BEYOND belief for any customer who reads this looks to make an actual educated decision they will be swayed to another device. However coming from someone who uses TONS of phones, I will tell you this device is great. The battery life LONG outlasts G2X whoever ran that test had their G2X Plugged into a wall for half the test. Because anyone who has ever used a G2X will tell you it has the WORST battery life of any phone. The GSII I can’t really make a good solid comparison, but what I will say is that I know that the screen is better. But going off Battery Life of the Galaxy S 4G I can easily say that even with the duel core it still last just as long if not LONGER than the GS4G. The G2X has is most certainly a more powerful phone and the GSII maybe as well. But when it comes down to it if you want a SOLID reliable phone, get a Sensation 4G because the battery will last longer than the average superphone. Also if you are a regular user you will not see a performance difference on the phone. Personally i use a Launcher to overlap sense and STILL do NOT see any lag in the device with basically 2 overlapping Ui's. When the GSII Hits stores in the US it will be a game changer However until then if you are getting a phone Buying the Sensation 4G is the Smartest thing that you can do.

                      Sensation 4G - 4.5 Stars

                      Pros -
Dual Core speeds help with everything you do
Battery Life (Exceeds most super phones)
                      4.3" Screen
                      Unibody (Light / Sleek)
Picture / Video Quality is great
HTC is know for great products (HD2 aside) AND Proactively Updates

                      Cons -
                      No actual Buttons
                      No Super Amoled Screen

                      G2X - 2.5 Stars

                      Pros -
POWERFUL (Specswise you cant deny how fast it is)
                      Base Android

                      Cons -
                      2.2 Android (Why not Gingerbread?)
Price in store is more than usual
Battery life: is one of the worst ive ever seen, constant complaints
Backlight Bleed (Back light shines through far too much making the blacks look GREY)
LG - LG is a problem because as it is the company knows this phones issues and has done nothing to support it.
                      No Actual Buttons on front
                      Freezing / Crashing issues

                      Samsung Galaxy SII

                      Pros -
Super Amoled Screen (Best around c'mon its Samsung)
                      Screen Size
                      Slim / sleek Design
                      Samsung - Reliable Product

                      Cons -
Samsung OS (Personal thing too much like Iphone OS)
Hopefully US TMO Version will have a flash
(Not too much on cons yet because it isnt out in the US.)

Happy Shopping people. Please look at all around. Dont give a phone a bad score because it doesnt have the same battery life as a BB or Basic Nokie. APPLES TO APPLES PLEASE!

iPhone is like a Lexus - smooth, slick, quiet, efficient. You can't choose gears; you can't hear or feel the engine shift. A fairly dependable, bland & seamless experience. You get in and enjoy a nice prefabricated ride. iPhone is sort of the tract home of high-end devices.

Androids are like BMWs. You choose your own gears, you feel & hear the engine rev and shift. You feel more bumps in the road. You get in and manipulate the machine.

The galaxy Sii is good in general, but the samsung support and repair center is very very disappointing, my galaxy is CPU is overheating, the next day after purchased, it was send for repair, when it came back (after 2 weeks) it was over heating more than before, contacted Samsung help line, the advised to stop using the mobile as it could be dangerous, but after 3 weeks thea still did not contact me back, and when I called they said that they will not change it, So I have a galaxy that I cannot use and will not be changed.
I will use it in winter to repalce the Heater in the house.

If you are looking for the best interface and ease to use for an Android phone, then u should go for Sensation, IMHO The Sense 3.0 UI is too beautiful to miss. Sense 3.0 UI is an experience you cannot get from other phone. I myself will get this phone for its Sense UI. Sensation got it flaws, but not something regular user like me will really notice, since its very technical related. Don't be fooled by the numbers and statistics, since the technical spec are almost the same, the performance won't differ much, u wouldn't even know it if u are not looking at this article.
i know design and looks are pretty relative, but there's no denying that HTC got this premium feeling that others lack of, i mean come on, IMHO i am not gonna spend my hard earned cash for a plastic covered phone. as for the camera, i still think it is enough to capture the moments. if i not more than that i can always take out a DSLR camera to do the proper job.
But then, be ready for the terrible battery life if you are going for Sensation, as with other HTC android phones.
another thing, If you are into technical customizations, HTC have the biggest community since their HTC Desire, there's no arguing in that.
