interesting that this articles states shining comments about nokia's amoled scree. surprising that a mobile site like gsmarena would be unaware of the purple tint issues present in nokia N8 and C7 units?

I dont like micro-sim, but not cause Im conservative, Ido want progression, but then I mean progression, not only shaving of some milimeters. A new standard would be great, micro-SD card small ones, with more storage...
Or actually the ultimate would be virtual sim-cards. That would contribute to slimmer/smaller phones. Better dust and water resistant.

not "so" impressed by the new MeeGo UI. It's not silky smooth like ios or new androids. hope this will get better at the phone's launch.
GSMArena we need a comparison between (N9 - SGS2 - Arc) displays.

But we still don't understand what's the point of releasing a device with meego - which is a dead-end platform?! there is no prospect for it!
maybe nokia wants to sell the meego division, in order to get her investment back? and n9 is the platform's concept phone and main prototype.
and another reason is that nokia also wanted to keep its word about releasing a meego device...

Nokia has restored some of my faith in the company. This is a beautiful phone and the Meego OS looks to be as intuitive as iOS. No offense to Windows 7 but I dislike Windows. If only Nokia has chosen to develop Meego quickly as Symbian's successor instead of going forward with Symbian 3 or using Win 7. Clearly they already have the neccessary OS. They just need to create the neccessary alliances with app developers or better yet, instead of competing with their own App store (OVI store), inked an alliance with Google to get their Android APP market (Not the Android OS though). I am certain the NOKIA folks will still work magic with their battery life on the N9. They have always been able to maximise efficiency with NOKIA battery life.

Good phone and a lot of potential. I hope Nokia will use it right, support, and develop this platform further. They won't have another chance.
Back in December 2009 I've purchased N900. At that time Maemo 5 had unsurpassed web browser with full Flash support, excellent Skype integration with video (!) calls, and unrivaled multitasking capabilities. Other software was also promising.
However, instead of extending Maemo 5 potential, Nokia has limited it to a single product and decided to use Symbian for N8, flagship model of 2010. For that reason premium hardware of N8 was crippled with Symbian's (totally) unusable web browser.
To conclude, Nokia already had an in-house product which could compete with Android or iOS. They just failed to notice the potential of Maemo 5 and focus on updates and further development. This caused a lot of users to lose faith in company.
The N9 and Meego are now a big test for Nokia. This may be a last chance for Nokia to develop an original, in-house OS. Failure would lead to far-reaching consequences - shift from innovative to generic company.

microSIM is a FAILURE and must be SHUNNED by all phone buyers. SIM cards are already small enough for users to handle - any smaller is just TOO SMALL and too easy to drop (as I feel microSD cards are too small too).
