Why Samsung never gives any info abt the RAM size in Wave phones. "Not enough memory" was a serious issue in its previous versions. I hope they have resolved that.
I seriously expected dual core processor and 1080p recording but from the preview it looks like even 720p records are not the best. Lot of stuff to do before release, Sammy.
Even I am not happy with the loud speaker moving to the back side. It was placed perfectly in Wave I and II.
I also see that it is longer than Galaxy SII (125.9 Vs. 125.3). Why would anyone want such a big phone for 4 inch screen. I feel, lot of space has been taken on top and bottom of the screen.
Rest looks good. I will wait for the full review and other users' opinions though.

LOL! you guys should stop comparing Wave3 to any high end Android devices! Bada isn't competing with Android OS and vice versa. Bada 2.0 is just in transitional phase.

I own the samsung wave ii, my only complaint is the so called TV out connection. it has a lot of problems which is a pity because the video is great. I hope this new version has improved its TV out connectivity.

I am so fed up with "reviews" that spend many pages & screenshots on photo, video, music and other features like that, while COMPLETELY leaving away organizer functions like e.g. calendar, phonebook etc. Calendar and the way its presented is the most essential thing in a phone, at least for me. I can survive a mediocre music player, but not a bad calendar presentation.

The main ... moreThanks for your post. S8500 got a really good hardware. Nice screen, good battery, solid build, good audio quality, good camera. It's all in there. But somehow, there's something missing. As you've pointed out, it's like an advance feature phone. My sentiments exactly.

I too come from Android world, and i must say, i am very pleased with Bada. Less apps, true, but take a look in the Android Marked and Apple's Appstore, almost half of the apps are the same...

I'm still questioning the point of such devices.
The main problem is that Samsung makes loads of buzz when it releases new Bada hardware but all goes dead silent when software is concerned. Bada 2.0 is announced and preseneted yet many ppl are stills tuck on crappy Bada 1.0. They never even got 1.0.1 or 1.0.2, let alone 1.2. Also smart phone is as useful as the apps that you can run on. And selection of apps for Bada is very poor. If you don't have apps and good degree of configurability (like on Android) you just have a very advanced feature phone.
The thing is, i own both, Wave GT-S8500 and HTC Wildfire. And for some reason i prefer Wildfire. It's crappy in every aspect except the fact that it's running android. Froyo 2.2.1 was already good with HTC Sense and now i'm running Cyanogen 2.3.3 and the thing is even better. There is almost not a single thing that you can't configure or adjust to your taste. And you always find the app you need, be it free or not. Actually, Bada is good for as long as you don't try Android and its wide apps selection. Once you do that it's really hard to get back to Bada phone. Hardware features like great camera and screen are really the only things that make me want to use Wave 1. If i could install Cyanogen on it i'd never look back.

I won my Samsung WAVE during a keynote presentation of Bada at GCAP 2010 last year. It is a good phone. But you are left wanting more from what Android/iOS have to offer.
Kies is functional at best... I could never officially update from Bada 1.0...
I now have a Desire S and use my Bada phone as a standby device, good battery life. Can last 5 days+ without a charge.

Wave 3 doesn't look as good as the original Wave.
Looking at the photos, the seamless front is ruined by the over-sized home button. It looked out-of-place and kinda cheap. An eye-sore TBH. A different shape might do the trick.
The back is very sexy though. LOL
Pentile-matrix? Me no likey.
I wonder how the 1500 mah battery will fare with a larger screen and not-all-black menu background.
Maybe it's just me. I guess I'll stick to my S8500 for a few more months. I'm eyeing Optimus Black though.

I dont understand why anyone would buy this phone. You have Android and iOS. Why spend money on a not solid plataform. Even WebOS (RIP) is far better than BADA.

Little disappointed must say.
It's not as smooth even when it's compared with the original Galaxy S (1ghz CPU); Nokia's N8 with Anna update is running smother pushed by 600 Mhz CPU (scandalos right?).
So no, not buying it.
