I have purchased one Nokia 701 Mobile set and am using it since 18.10.2011. My comments are:
1. Ring tone volume is abnormally low. Chance of missing calls is high.
2. My average usage time per day (Talk time+3G Internet surfing time) is only Two hours. Even for this usage Battery needs to be charged every day.
3. Quick Office icon is there in the Menu but it is of no use as license to use is not provided.
4. There is no means for common people to verify other fascinating features of this Phone like 1 GHz processor speed, 8 Gb Memory,512 Mb RAM and 8 MP Camera.
5. I have not received any fruitful support regarding the above sited problems from the Nokia Shop at my locality from which I have purchased the Set, Nokia 701.

Anonymous, 10 Sep 2011You don't know a thing of what you are saying. These phones... moreNothing against what you're saying. I'm just having trouble using that screen-narrowness with regards to typing messages. Why not stretch the screen to 60 mm wide atleast for convenient texting? Just for us people with larger than normal thumbs! Please Nokia? I'd love to enjoy using your phone again, most especially outdoors! =)

I agree. C7 has nice pictures. No blur like happens often with autofocus phones. The problem for me is that I used to taking notes by simply taking a picture of text or a label.

AnonD-9845, 19 Sep 2011the only thing that would make me smack my face on a wall a... moreComment on the Full Focus camera:

It is NOT the same as fixed focus. It is NOT a cheap solution. In fact, it is more expensive to make than an auto focus camera. The reason they are in these devices is that they can be made smaller, to fit a larger sensor in thinner devices.

For the large majority of users, the C7 with a full focus camera gives much better results than most autofocus camera phones. Almost never any blurry images again, and it records great audio too btw (the c7 that is)

For the price of macro, you gain so many more sharp images. In the end, the majority of consumers prefer this, so it is a good decision by Nokia. For those that want a good Autofocus camera, there is the N8 or N9. If you want a cheaper and worse camera, there are plenty of other brands to choose from.

the only thing that would make me smack my face on a wall about this phone is the fixed focus cam.the competition has been stuffing af cams even on lower end phones and nokia is still stuck with fixed focus.

is it really that hard nokia?

Does Belle finally remember caller ID name or it is only available during active ring as it has been in Symbian for a long time for unexplainable reasons?

Is text copy function available system wide (from web page, etc), rather only being limited to editable elements?

In my view, I see that eventually one will need two devices for day to day work. One as a phone and one as a computing device. What we can do with the computing device will keep changing over time but a phone will be the preferred device to make voice calls and having some limited text capability. I cant visualize people wanting to strain their eyes looking into a 3 or 4 inch screen for extended periods of time. A phone may have features like camera, music and video capability but text or replacement for a computing device it cannot be.

clear fact is... samboys n fandroids are now getting nervous.. nokia starts to fight back and take back what is rightfully theirs... oh by the way, who ever says nokia is not "still no.1" must be hallucinating.

Nokia is still No.1 in the world... face it!
